Coach who watched the game said he did nothing defensively to make a difference either just passing along a word. This was also put in the write up on te game too. And on the other post of my agenda really I have zero agendas against a kid but this proving what I said last yr and its consistent with what I sawin the Smyrna gm last yr too.
As long as it proves what you spout that should be all that we care about. :good!:
Gray is missing something between the ears.
People i know "close" to the team say they can't wait for him to graduate.
Butch still wants him. Gray should be a lot better than he is...
Heard this too, but I'm only speaking of the on field not him as a person. I've been around guys in the 90s who i thought were empty between the ears and when the lights cm on they were very visible whether it was high school, college, or on Sunday.
Good news if he's a hot head. I like having guys that are not afraid to talk and walk on the edge of unsportsmanlike conduct. I want more jabbering after plays and towards opponents benches to the point where the reff has to warn them a few times but never gets a flag.

I don't know how intelligent the kid is, but I question his motivation for playing football.
Gualden, Jaylen RM, Jennings where all unstoppable Mid- State prosepcts and none of them were ranked as high as Maliek.
He should be averaging 10 tkls a game.
And he should be featured on offense as well.
Gray needs to play DE for LaVergne. His instincts aren't there for LB. Like I said a while agi, he reminds of Chris Donald.
I was at the game up until half way through the 3rd. The times they used Gray to blitz he was terrible, couldn't get off a block.(of course we are recruiting him to play safety so I doubt he's really gonna have to fight a lot of blocks from offensive guards.) We he was in coverage he looked ok. Smyrna really didn't throw much at all but Gray seemed to be around the ball when he wasn't in on a tackle. The part that bothered me was he seemed to be a bit of a hot head. He could've had a lot of personal fouls called on him in that game if the refs weren't terrible. I'm sure that's just a maturity thing though so not too worried about it.
After one bad game (the first game of the season).....now he's not worthy of his ranking!!? You guys kill me.
