His teammate had some nice stats that game. Hopefully Fant can start producing at a higher level.
RB Keytavies Bradley, La Vergne
Bradley had 25 carries for 224 yards with three TDs in the Wolverines 38-20 loss to rival Smyrna.
Dude its his first game. Also, its pretty ridiculous to compare a RB and WRs stats. Completely different positions, but whatever helps your agenda I guess.
I suppose if Fant gets a bumb, he will be good and become a take in your eyes. Until he gets that bumb, well he isnt that good. Man you really need to get a job as a recruiting coordinator for a big time D1 school.
I think Fant still has a lot to prove. He missed his Jr year so he has virtually no production at the high school level. He gets a lot of hype because of his athleticism but you would like to see that translate to the field. I don't really care if it was his first game he didn't produce the kind of stats that turn your head.
Would I like to see him get a bump, sure. I want him to blow up this year and get that 4th star and get our ranking up.
I was at the game. He has 4 star talent without a doubt and the only reason he is a 3 star is because of the injury. Regarding his stats, it's kind of difficult to catch many passes when they only threw 7 or 8 his way. The Lavergne running back got 25 carries.
I saw that Bradley got 224 yards. You would think that Lavergne would try to get the ball in Fant's hands more, with his speed and vertical jump he should be able to make some big plays.

Fant doesn't play in an offense that throws the ball a lot. He is a good athlete but i wouldn't bet on a bump anytime soon. But i say this he had 5/87 but gray had zeros across he board on offense. Even in the business that I'm in I think these coaches are doing too much evaluating in shirts and shorts and not pads.

Ok so what's the deal with Gray? Where is he projected to play at UT?Talked to a guy that was at the game. Said Gray was awful on defense
Said Fant was big and strong.
Only targeted 7 times.
One badly thrown attempt and one deep ball Fant high pointed but couldn't hold on after contacting the ground with the 5 completions. YAC was very impressive

I was at the game up until half way through the 3rd. The times they used Gray to blitz he was terrible, couldn't get off a block.(of course we are recruiting him to play safety so I doubt he's really gonna have to fight a lot of blocks from offensive guards.) We he was in coverage he looked ok. Smyrna really didn't throw much at all but Gray seemed to be around the ball when he wasn't in on a tackle. The part that bothered me was he seemed to be a bit of a hot head. He could've had a lot of personal fouls called on him in that game if the refs weren't terrible. I'm sure that's just a maturity thing though so not too worried about it.Talked to a guy that was at the game. Said Gray was awful on defense

Since Gray is a defensive recruit for us, I could give a crap...in my shorts.![]()
Coach who watched the game said he did nothing defensively to make a difference either just passing along a word. This was also put in the write up on te game too. And on the other post of my agenda really I have zero agendas against a kid but this proving what I said last yr and its consistent with what I sawin the Smyrna gm last yr too.
