Vols 30 makes a fairly good point, reading some of the comments takes me back to the dooley days of people defending three star commits. Offers from other schools are very telling, that said, glad he's a vol and hope Vols 30 is wrong but he does have a legit point. Hard to really get too excited when we do t even have a qb or strength coach

Dude, given your name for this site, the same could be said about you. I really do apologize for wanting Tennessee to a top school that gets the best players. Its because of the utter dolt in your avatar that the fanbase has the acceptance of mediocrity attitude it does now. Like another poster said, the bar has been lowered and its sad. But hey, because some fans want the best players for the program, it obviously means we should not be Vol fans. Typical.

It boggles my mind how if you have a negative opinion, you're not allowed to share it on a message board. Or you get called a short sighted loser, mouth breather, idiot, etc etc. Or get told to go root for another team.

I'd never take it personal but sheesh..just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean you start tossing out insults.

And I'm not taking up for people that bash kids..id never do that. But saying you're disappointed in this recruiting class & pointing out that a lot of the kids we're taking have pretty mediocre offer lists should be allowed without getting lambasted.

It's one thing to state an opinion. It is another to ridicule and belittle a recruit, a player, a poster, or the coaching staff.

So, let me get this straight, if you are a fan of a team, you can never talk bad about any of its players or coaches? Regardless of the situation?

Mostly the ones that get "lambasted" are the ones who say the same thing over and over again in every freaking thread.

Other than that it's just discussion.

Pages and pages of butthurt and emotional bickering on a players thread days after he committed... only on VolNation. I seriously think that winning a championship and going undefeated would only make it more unbearable. For bumps sake y'all take this crap somewhere else.

Stahp ruining kid's threads. This young man just made a huge decision in his life. He chose to drop a team on the eve of enrolling to come play for us. I think he deserves a big hearty Welcome to the Big Orange Family instead of this incessant 3* stuff that y'all spew in every single thread.

Yep, losing Tee has been disappointing. This class won't be too 5 like we were hoping, but can still be top 10 if Butch pulls a couple big fish like Akers and Ray

It's embarrassing and one of the main reasons I spend less and less time sorting through these threads. There's no info anymore, well, if I'm being fair I see one informative post for every 7-8 nonsense post in almost every thread. And it's always the same people. It's soooooo laaaaaaame. And here we go clicking about hoping to see info and seeing guys argue the makings of a "true fan."

This is my opinion as well. To add to that...if someone is going to ridicule a recruit (ie..calling them a bum), a player, the coaches, the program and I think their opinion is stupid or that they are an idiot for saying it...why shouldn't I be able to say it.

Bottom line. A lot of what gets said in these threads, in my opinion, is stupid. Key words there...in my opinion. If it is my opinion, then I have every bit as much right to voice it as the naysayers have to their opinion right?

Saying Butch has slipped some in recruiting compared to his first recruiting classes since coming to Knoxville = obvious Gator fan

Ok... back on topic, I think McBride would be a 4* if he was 3 or 4 inches taller. He's playing against good opponents right? Like others have said, there have been shorter quarterbacks in the past that have been really good in college
