It's not your opinion that is the problem but how you present your opinion. It's not about you not pumping sunshine all the time. You make your case by being degrading and insulting to a person who isn't even 18 years old yet. It takes less than 30 seconds to think of a well worded response that effectively articulates you opinion with out degrading a child. Simply saying, "I believe Cam has a greater upside. I am not fond of Flint's tape. I believe this may be a poor choice by the staff at this point in time. I am unhappy with UTs current LB recruiting board"

You could even discuss where Flint is lacking. i.e. Point of attack, pass coverage, speed, tackling ability.

All points covered and presented in a manner that is infinitely more informative and respectful then your usual presentation. And your opinion is not given in a manner that turns entire recruiting boards against you.

It has to do with ppl being mad i dont always agree with certian recruits or recruiting period. This bs goes bk to the fat Rb that went to Nebraska i told everyone that he would be purdged. This has been a bit of a mystery to me. Wasn't he given some recognition as a recruiter a couple of years back? Since then, seems like his recruiting has not been at that same level, or I'm just not reading much about him. He apparently cost us a chance at Van Jefferson with a comment to/about his mother, wonder if that has affected him in some way.

I agree, if Shoop and Butch find an upgrade, he could be on the move.

I like the info De1 brings about instate recruits but i have to agree with everyone else on this. There are more constructive ways to state your opinion on recruits that you may not think cut the mustard. Or don't state your opinion at all if you don't possesses the verbal skills to do so. I know he thinks highly of his evaluation skills, but even the best talent evaluators miss on kids every year. This kid has physical attributes that are not easy to find. He may also have intangibles that are even harder to find. But this is his page and I'm sure he has family and friends reading all of these comments. I'm very happy for this young man. I have no personal ties to him or any recruit but i am a father. And as such will always show respect when discussing someone else's child.

Like you, I am not qualified to know if this is the best we can do at LB. However, I am qualified to know this is not the best you can do to welcome an outstanding student athlete to Knoxville. He already has demonstrated good judgement! Which is a helluva more than we can say for you. :loco:
