'18 CA QB Adrian Martinez

It's a smart move.

Martinez would rather be featured in a Scott Frost offense - known to work explosively - than a less-than-realized USC/CSU hybrid offense that hasn't even yet formed.

Most QBs would. UT's offense is a hard sell right now.

No one really knows how Frosts offense is gonna translate either though

Better fit in Frost's offense

So is Penix

We need a guy who cam sling the ball and hand off without fumbling. No need for a running QB in the new offense we will run

Bring me a Pro-Style with beautiful hair

Martinez is a very well put together kid and he will be successful in life, even if not in football. I'm saddened, because I really wanted to cheer for the kid while in Orange, but in the end, I think he made the best decision for himself.

While Nebraska and Tennessee are both going through transitions, Nebraska has an offensive minded coach in Scott Frost while not much is known about the offensive direction at UT. Not only that, but Frost made Martinez his number 1 priority since becoming HC and that has to speak volumes to the confidence Frost has in him.

That’s why the COACHES that understand it are selling it and not you. :)

Ability to get the ball out quickly.

We all know QD wasn't great but we also know he was an awful fit for that offense. He at least was decisive enough to avoid getting sacked likes JD did.

I wouldn't bet a lot on it but I think it's a better fit for him.

He only gets the ball out quickly because he decides where he is going with the ball before the snap.

I am being optimistic, but I find it weird that we lost both QBs on the same day. Almost as if Pruitt and staff have an idea of who they want for QB in this class.

Not a big deal. They'll be other QB recruits this class. Not likely anyone would start over Dormady or G-Man, at least immediately.

Just like most if these guys from the last regime , they have been gone for a long time. Just needed a place to land that's ok we need JP guys. Trust the process guys

I thought we were set at QB, but watching Dormady, JG, and McBride this season scares me. Obviously, QB is such a pivotal position for the success of your program. We have all seen countless examples of great teams hindered by bad QB play, I think a great example this year was Miami. They still had a good season, but with an elite QB they would be in playoff.

However, our QBs were also being coached by Utah State's RB coach. So maybe actually having a true QB coach and proper development will get them playing at a high level.

What if CJP has evaluated personnel and has reviewed film from this fall and wants to open recruiting slots for linemen, linebackers, tight ends, and other positions that make our three QBs succeed? Makes sense to me. After 4-8 season, I'm willing to go with the new staff and trust them to make the right changes. If you were down on CBJ, I would think you would completely understand these changes.
