You’re right. I was drunkenly trying to rationalize the potential loss of Martinez. I do think Penix will be pretty good though

Any talk like this is dumb imo. The HC is getting fired. Nothing that happens in recruiting right now is of any real consequence. Once we hire a new coach, things will matter.

He went because Cade would be there. Cade played a role in Martinez committing to UT and he wants Cade to wait and see who UT hires. Like the VQ guys said, Martinez is pretty solid.

Sadly enough our top targets are top targets of the best in country. Early signing period is going to hurt us for some serious big pieces for our chessboard.

Can the friggin AD come out and say either that he backs Butch and that the entire staff will be thoroughly evaluated at season’s end and appropriate actions taken or that Butch is gone and that UT will exhaust all resources to fix this problem and build a champion tier team? All this walking the fence crap is loosing commitments and fans. If it were up to me, I would continue to pee in trough urinals for the next 10 years if instead UT would invest in the coaching staff. Enough of this sh..

Yeah it sucks, but there is a huge amount of top recruits still available and will be available after early signing period...Currie must make the RIGHT hire and we'll be okay in 2018...that's my belief

Can we talk to a coach during the season or is there a rule on that? That would point towards someone that is currently not coaching being next rather than someone like Mullen. Just a thought.

He was on the radio with Will West today and he sounds like he’s pretty solid to UT. Very well spoken and didn’t sound like someone saying just what people wanted to hear. He sounded excited about UT’s future.
