'18 CA QB Adrian Martinez

I guess when the linchpin of the class (Mays) leaves, it should be expected to watch the other top rated ones follow.

Yep. But honestly I am not worried about this recruiting class at all. The head coach is much more important for our future than 1 recruiting class.

😂 Taking an Official Visit to Ohio State

Him and Cade

Penix will be better than him. That kid is only starting to realize his potential and Martinez is coming off a torn labrum. I’m not too worried

I'm not going to agree with that. I think Martinez will be very good. Also Ohio State treated Emory Jones like a king on his visit. I don't think they want to upset him anytime soon.

Emory Jones may be trending toward Bama. If he does, I'd bet Martinez is OSU's backup plan.

"Former Vols commitment Cade Mays, a five-star offensive lineman from Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic High School, is among the other official visitors Ohio State is hosting this weekend."

That's the part that should be worrisome. Hope they don't start comparing notes and start a mass defection.

Dont blame any of these kids for looking around. We're a dumpster fire and will likely end up with a Mike Bobo-esque head coach.

Not good for us since our program is in full on dumpster fire mode. I don't blame any of these kids for visiting other schools no matter what team you commit to. Take your time and get it right even if it means changing your mind. This is the most important decision that most of these kids will make.

Can’t blame the kid or family for reopening the recruitment completely. Remember it was “our” coach that told Tajh Boyd and Brice Petty he didn’t want them (and some of you poor ignorant bastards want him back!) after they’d been committed for months.

Of course if the lead recruit, Mays in this situation, wasn’t looking you could make a case but once he bailed out, it’s every man for himself.

It would be the exact same if Jones were fired and Hoke was an interim coach.
