'18 DT TN D'Andre Litaker

What's the true motivation of these handlers is what I want to know. Are they truly looking out for the best interest of the kids? Do they automatically steer kids away from certain programs where they hold a grudge against the coach, even if that program might be a great fit for the kid? Are they getting any kind of benefits from boosters to steer kids toward certain programs? I'm sorry, the whole process of hs kids having handlers to "help guide them" in the decision making process just reeks to me.

This kid went to Riverdale, not Oakland. Not sure why the OP of this tread put Oakland.

He was at Oakland and moved and still has a very good relationship over there with John Jones, coaches, and players too. Also train with several if the players at Balackman, Riverdale, Siegel, and Oakland with NPA and Beasley

Litaker safe?

I'm trying to get a definitive answer in my conversations with those close to Litiker there's been some lack of clarity. Pruitt has not been to see him. Not sure Litiker will sign next week. Again, trying to get a definitive answer.

Sure would be nice to not share our coach right now.

yeah, but it is what it is. welcome to the wonderful world of you don't have a choice.

if he's a feb signee, then i don't think it's a big deal. they haven't pulled the offer, so there may be more in the lack of inaction, than anything....especially if he is going to sign on Wed-Fri.

'course, i have no idea what kind of phone conversations may, or may not happen this week.........

Ron what has happened is that there have been no calls, texts, contact despite the kid reaching out to the staff. Rocker has liked him since his days at UGA and Rumph likewise at Fla so not sure where the ball has been dropped or whom it falls on. Like I said before NPA is not upset as things takes time and we know that. The thing is his coaches from Oakland and Riverdale are preturbed by these course of actions as are some pretty fluent boosters.

That was his agent Jimmy Sexton's doing right there. CJP was prepared to resign and go full speed ahead but Sexton didn't want to ruin relationships with the Powers that Be at Bama.

After reading this I realize I misinterpreted your post the other day. Apologies.

Classless not to even call the kid. That's bs if that is the case

That sucks. Guess that’s Pruitt's way of hinting to the kid that he should look elsewhere. This part of recruiting is no fun for anyone involved.

I wanna give the coaches the benefit of the doubt here, but if they haven't even reached out and have ignored his calls....

Seems clear they're trying to encourage him to sign elsewhere. Even if they reach out eventually now it's still a slap in the face.

Not returning calls is asinine. Nobody wins when you’re trying to be subtle. If true, Pruitt is really screwing up already.

I wasn't impressed with how he handled the Flint situation, either.

Flint had no business being recruited by the previous staff, but allowing him to take his OV and then abruptly tell him that we aren't interested on that same visit is low.

There is also the angle that CJP has not met the kid face to face and would like to see him up close and speak to him before he decides if he is a take or not.

I am not pumping sunshine on this staff or being negative till I see their results. Win some ball games and I will be happy. Waiting to see what happens before getting too high or too low.

He hasn't talked to Tennessee in a while including the previous staff. I was thinking maybe a blue shirt or a gray shirt with the knee injury, but I don't know what's going to happen there.

It doesn't appear to be a lock he's going to be a Vol

The thing is he's not going to go anywhere but UT in his mind and he plans on signing soon, and those who care he's very Lean post surgery and almost ready to get back to training. He's still not 100% but is in the weight room and has slimmed up quite a bit

That actually happens quite a bit. Coaches bring in kids on official visits to evaluate their size. That isn't uncommon at all.

I posted last week I had heard the previous staff had told him they would sign him awhile back but told him he wouldn't be able to play because of the injury. Hubbs saying the previous staff hadn't been in touch for awhile seems to make that More believable.

You buy that?

Flint is from Alabama. I'm sure at some point in four years Pruitt had some across him.
