'18 DT TN D'Andre Litaker

Maybe the NCAA needs to enact a rule where players with injuries that commit to a school do not immediately count toward class size. I'm not sure how it would exactly work, but a rule that protects both the young man and the school. If there is question he'll ever play again, let him come on a medical waiver, then, if he does recover and play, he can go on football scholarship, and if he doesn't, he can stay on a medical waiver. I'm not sure how severe his injury is, but I'd like to see this young man at UT, whether he plays or not. I mean, I hope he recovers and can play, but I think he deserves a shot no matter what. I don't like the way the coaching staff is handling this. I know they're busy, but he deserves a phone call and a reassurance on where he stands with this staff.

I posted last week I had heard the previous staff had told him they would sign him awhile back but told him he wouldn't be able to play because of the injury. Hubbs saying the previous staff hadn't been in touch for awhile seems to make that More believable.

You buy that?

Nope because Hoke had called and D'Andre had been on campus before Butch was fired. So no that's not true.

Flint is from Alabama. I'm sure at some point in four years Pruitt had some across him.

You can be 'sure' all you want but truth is NOBODY knows 'for sure' except Pruitt and Flint...

Edit: Before we start slamming CJP (with no proof) let this play out. This is not his first recruiting rodeo.

The thing is he's not going to go anywhere but UT in his mind and he plans on signing soon, and those who care he's very Lean post surgery and almost ready to get back to training. He's still not 100% but is in the weight room and has slimmed up quite a bit

I feel like we need to make room for this kid in this class. At the very least CJP needs to call him and then sit down with he and his coaches face to face.

Tough situation for sure but this one is worth hanging onto for many reasons. This is the part of big boy coaching I wouldn’t enjoy.

Not talking at all is a bad reflection and the main reason is the mid-state region is producing the most talent in Tenn. It's just a bad look, IMO.

how do you stop coaches from taking a bunch of these hurt guys?

He hasn't talked to Tennessee in weeks. He hadn't been talking to the previous staff either.

I'm not sure what Pruitt is going to do with Litaker. There's speculation that he may not sign him, but honestly, I don't want to speculate that because it's not fair to Pruitt or Litaker.

This staff hasn't recruited him since their arrival.

Tough spot for Pruitt and the new staff to be in. What if he really doesn’t fit the scheme we will be running?
