Coaching, film break down, watching football my whole life, camps, combines, and the most important thing for coaches to to be around great coaches, and no matter how high the ladder you climb, always realize that you could learn something else that could help you.
Any advice on where I should start learning to scout?

Just watch their HUDL and if anyone has concerns on a players ranking, chastise them and tell them to “watch the film” and make broad generalizations from 20 highlights spliced together as though that is an adequate representation of a players entire season.

How about you watch full games and a 3 star outperforms 4 star and 5 star linebackers all game.

I guess Richt and Diaz know nothing of DL, nor does Muschamp. How about you watching a film and disregard stars and judge on pure talent. It’s not that hard. And I just began rounding off is weight to 310

I would offer to work the camp and combine circuits if you coach. It’s a lot of fun, and you meet and see a lot of prospects and coaches. You can make a lot of contacts as well and learn a lot of different things from schemes, techniques, drills, etc.

True story. Just watched his tape about 10 minutes ago, he looked like a high 4 star. I'm pumped 🙌

He ain’t no 3 star if you put on the film with a kid moving that well at that size. Really excited about this pickup. Excellent scouting job

Great first step and burst, high motor, country strong, naturally stays low, uses his hands well as a high schooler...this is the type of kid Kul made a living on in Missouri.

Now keep in mind, Hurricanes fans know nothing of talented d linemen

Apologies if my post - which was directed at no one in particular - struck a little close to home.

If you’re one of the ones that considers watching 5 minute HUDL highlight reel of handpicked plays over an entire season as “watching film” then by all means, carry on talking down to us uninformed masses who dare express concern when an unheralded prospect gets offered.

I’m so glad you get WiFi in your Ivory Tower

I don’t talk down to anyone. And I said nothing to you prior. But it took me watching his hudl film one time to see his talent. We lost out on an OL and a DL tonight that both, of they stay healthy and work hard, will most likely play on Sundays one day. That’s my opinion and I believe it 100%
