His throwing motion reminds me a whole lot of Sheriron Jones. Funky look to it but has a strong arm and looks to be pretty quick. I think he can succeed in Butch's offense. I hope we can land Martinez along with him.

I don't know. Just thought they may have taken him for his athleticism and may could play WR if QB doesn't work out.

That wasn't directed to be a dick to you. Several others made comments about his throwing motion. I think that some are pretty disappointed about Martinez and forget that MP is fairly accomplished in his own right.

I definitely think by his junior season, at the latest, he's either a safety or a receiver.

Maybe but we seem to be loading up on WR prospects. It'll be curious to see what they do with him. He'll he very well might be a fine QB prospect Just in my untrained eye he looks more like an athlete trying to play QB.

Is just seems plausible. Maybe it's not such a good thing to tell the kid, in this moment in time that he's going to be a WR. Thinking he could play QB somewhere but his film def shows a WR.

The Martinez kids film looks like a QB. Def arm talent with him.

I believe Penix Jr has been wanting to be a Vol, for a long time, but had to wait on the coaching staff to agree to let him go public.

Never know how these guys can develop. He's not the finished product yet, but has the tools to develop it if the coaches can get it to click.

Probably not much value in bringing him in as an EE since we should be set at QB for the next 2 years unless he does come in as a WR or DB. I guess if there is room to and nobody else then maybe.

Well I agree but considering he will more than likely be a Redshirt and not see the field in 3 years I don't see it happening. Let's say the value is minimal in this case.

Dormady sat for two seasons after doing the EE thing. I noted the "value" yesterday.

I'm pretty happy with our QB situation right now. If Martinez commits too we will be set. In a couple of years having Penix, Martinez and McBride battling it out to be the starter would be a good scenario.

Actually, after reading this thread, I hope that they stay away from this board too. Too many of our so called fans want to continue to spew negative crap when this kid is clearly all in and I think that he is better than his current ranking. I am very glad that he is going to Tennessee!!

I'm not any kind of expert but this QB doesn't step into many of his throws. Lots of throws are either flat footed or off his back foot. Strong arm though. I'm sure he will learn foot work once he gets here. I like the pick up.

If that's the case, then I am very confident we can fix his mechanics.
