'18 FL RB Jashaun Corbin (Texas A&M signee)

Lol, let him go to FSU and that crowded backfield . He would be lucky to touch the field there unless he moves to WR. Also Dalvin Cook brother would be coming in right behind him to take his spot . I wish him luck though.

There's still nine months until signing day; we're not necessarily out of it with Corbin by any stretch.

Not that I have a bunch of figures at my disposal, but how often do you hear of a guy committing, decommitting, and then re-committing to the same school? It doesn't seem to happen much. Not disrespecting the kid at all, this type of thing just happens in the world of recruiting. Next man up.

We'll still recruit Corbin, I'm sure, but he obviously has his sights set somewhere else for the time being and we should make sure our resources are invested correctly.

I don't have figures either but, just anecdotally, it literally just happened this week with the QB committed to UK.

Each situation is different, just never know.

Jarren Williams. Just recommitted to UK after decommitting about a month ago.

Jonathon Kongbo did it with us a couple of years ago.

Everyone assumed UK and UT had lost those 2 commits permanently, but...

Like Kongbo said, he wanted to visit other schools and did not think it was right to be committed and still visit, so he decommitted to take visits. And when all was said and done, he recommitted.

However, I do get your point. It is not the norm, but it is also not a forgone conclusion that he won't recommit to UT.

He committed to soon. It's alright. Is rather him open it up now so we know and can pursue all options. Hopefully we can get him back on board but we will have some good RBs when the ink dries.

Better to find out now than later in the process.

Here's hoping he either changes his mind and sticks with us, or we're able to find an equally talented back. In any event, I wish the kid the best of luck whatever decision he makes.

GBO!

I will say this though.... if you look at the OL we're building, the QB prospects we've signed this year, the wide open opportunity for playing time, and just combine that with stadium/fanbase/conference/tradition etc etc etc....

How could a running back NOT want to play here? This is a golden opportunity that some talented young players are going to take advantage of and end up at the next level. Multiple guys will follow Kamara into the league.

Per Hubbs

Everyone knew this one was going to hard till the finish line. Tennessee is going to be in it till the end for sure. They gotta get him back up here, but obviously Florida State is a school the Vols will have a serious battle with the Noles if they come after him hard.

I also didn't go around making public commitments to anything I didn't really want. But hey, good luck to this kid. I assume he'll change his mind a few more times and then transfer after the place he goes to isn't what he expected. haha

From the Following Recruiting for Dummies Handbook...

Rule #3; Don't get but hurt when a teenager you don't even know changes their mind publicly..

Rule #4; Do not publically bash a teenager you don't even know for changing their mind....

"
Tennessee definitely still is in it for Dixon. Franklin could be a possibility, but he seems to be further down the board. His stock has fallen over the past year. Provens still is in play, too."

It's one of the biggest decision these kids will make in their lives. Nowadays they have people coming at them like never before throwing their opinion on where they should go. In the end they reap the benefit or bare the consequences of their decisions. Wherever Corbin ends up, I wish him well.

Unless he signs with someone on our schedule. If so he can kiss my :shaking2:.
