'18 FL RB Jashaun Corbin (Texas A&M signee)

I got married at 19 and have been married for almost 16 years. Of course I was a combat veteran by 20 so I am not sure it fits the narrative.

I'm not meaning to bash this dude, but a flake is a flake. I am glad he did it now instead of waiting till we really counting on him. I hold no ill will toward the kid.

I see both sides of it. Not many young men have the experience or maturity to make life changing choices. This choice can define his future. With that being said, he probably should have taken sometime to let the process play out and make a deliberate choice on logic instead of emotion. But he is a young man though. Regardless of his commitment to us, I will wish him well in the future. He apparently thought high enough of Tennessee to make a commitment in the first place, so his consideration is appreciated.

I agree with you.

Conversely, we cant hold all 17 yr olds to that stereotype of being noncommittal. We have had several young men commit and sign with us that took a different approach. We don't know the circumstances behind his de-commitment but the only thing clear is that he wasn't ready to make this choice when he committed to us.

I think of it this way, I have a teenage son. When he makes promises, I make sure he understands what that means. That his word is all he has in this world. Maybe young Mr. Corbin doesn't have that sort of influence in his life or there was some other reason behind all of this. We will never know.

I still can't believe Corbin wants to be behind three 5-Star running backs at FSU then Dalvin Cook brother who is also a 5 Star come in for the 2018 class .

That dude is going to be a beast . IMO I think he is going to win the Heisman in these next 3 years .

Meh..I don't know. If Dalvin Cook didn't win one, I doubt he does. Anyways..y'all can call me a homer, but I actually wanted Chandler more. With our line the next few years, he might actually break the No Tennessee Heisman winner curse if he can stay healthy. That dude is for reals.

I don't know if I buy that but I love your optimism. It would be incredible.

He might end up being better then Cook though ..

Why do people fawn over Akers, but doubt Chandler? I have never understood that. I think Akers is a good back, he nay be a great one..I really believe that Chandler can be better. Is it because the services gave Akers an extra shiny star?

I will say this though.... if you look at the OL we're building, the QB prospects we've signed this year, the wide open opportunity for playing time, and just combine that with stadium/fanbase/conference/tradition etc etc etc....

How could a running back NOT want to play here? This is a golden opportunity that some talented young players are going to take advantage of and end up at the next level. Multiple guys will follow Kamara into the league.
Jalen Hurd saga. Under utilized Kamara, which definitely hurt his body of work and ultimately his draft stock.
That about do it?
