'18 FL WR Jacob Copeland (Florida signee)

Nobody is denying any of this. All I said was that I was wrong about saying Mullen can’t recruit and that he’s doing a good job. We don’t know how we’re going to finish until tomorrow.

Everyone is way too sensitive on this site

I don’t remember many that said he couldn’t “recruit”. Just that he’s not elite. He’s getting way too much props for Emory Jones. Jones was once way ahead of Fields and has regressed considerably. He was an afterthought to Ohio State by the end...hence the “flip”. Mullen basically beat out Taggart due to him being a renowned QB whisperer. I didn’t want Jones for us, even when we ran a compatible system.

VN when Pruitt was hired: “Pruitt is a great recruiter! Time to get all those 5*s!

VN now: “I’m starting question his recruiting. Mullen & Muschamp is out recruiting him!

He’s not even been UT’s HC for a full season.

I don’t think anybody’s questioning his recruiting.

If anything, the disappointment is a testament to how good of a recruiter he is, because we had high expectations.

I have a theory here: Normally when we have a big recruiting weekend like we have had the last few, we normally hear about a kid or two committing. We haven’t so far yet. I’m thinking this is a carefully orchestrated plan by Pruitt. On Wednesday we sign them all, ITS, Griffin, Quay, Copeland, Young, Beal, Mincey, Otito. It’s all over Espn on when these guys commit to us and we are the stars of national signing day. Then all these great 2019 kids see and say wow Tennessee is awesome. They have hot girls, great BBQ and that shade of orange looks so cool, and then we sign a number one class in 2019.

I'll have what he is having.

Its not all doom and gloom, but we aren't at a nudist beach with Victoria Secret Angels either.

as always the truth is somewhere in between.

Sounding like UF is the favorite at the moment at least going’s by crystal balls

If they can pull Copeland and Petit-Frere that would give Mullen a better class then any of McElwain’s

Would be more top 100 players then Mac signed in 16 and 17 classes combined

Powerful stuff. A behind the scene of what the kids are going through. Grown me offering them solid futures and a chance at their dreams.... but which one do I choose and who do I trust.

God is a good option young man, keep that mindset in times of trouble and turn to him to find wisdom.

Hope he sees UT as a great option after football

Don't see it as a crying occasion. If he likes the players and the coaches, how far wrong can he go? Afghanistan? No.

It can definitely be an emotional time for a kid. Leaving home for possibly the first and last time, things will forever change for them and a wrong decision could slow his development down. Even more so if he's getting pressure to stay in Fla and his heart wants to be somewhere else. Not saying that's what's happening but none of us know what he's going through or dealing with at home. I hope he picks TN but ultimately he needs to do what's best for him no matter what school that is. He's a day away from making the biggest decision of his life so being emotional isn't uncommon. You see kids break down and cry when they are doing the announce of where they are gonna play football at. Not sure what Afghanistan has to do with this in the least.

You’re wrong here. It’s an emotional decision for a 17-18 year old kid. Leaving Home in any capacity is emotional and he’s having to make a decision hoping he goes to the place that gives him the best chance to fulfill his goals the next 3-4 years.

Ummm...not to stray too far from the doom at hand, but do you happen to know where that beach is located?
