'18 FL WR Jacob Copeland (Florida signee)

Yea not sure we sign the kid or not,but if I'm Pruitt im taking his Twitter away immediately😂😂...Just think social media etc could be a huge distraction with him.We tend to be brutal,I'm not sure he could take it.

I wonder how many of these kids really know god and how many just type it because everyone else does.

God knows. We don't and, frankly, while I hope that they're being truthful, there are plenty of people who are not athletes that do the same thing. I try not to worry about it too much.

You say this like we've already lost Copeland and Beal and pretty much everyone. It seems like we're still in contention for both. We may not get them, but saying it like they already signed elsewhere seems premature.

Needs a appointment to the Men's Clinic. They can stop the "premin"

I get your perspective but I've never been in Copelands shoes so I can't judge him.

Thanks for getting it. I did not intend to come across all judgemental on Copeland. Sure, recruits get pulled hard in different directions, and the decision is important. I was just trying to say that he is in a very good position. If he is good, he'll make it, wherever he goes. Hope he works hard and enjoys the experience.

Yeah it's definitely a tremendous situation and a blessing.

Don't see it as a crying occasion. If he likes the players and the coaches, how far wrong can he go? Afghanistan? No.

He's a kid. And there can be a lot of pressure from friends and family members, people the kid loves. Being torn between people he really cares about can really affect a person, especially a kid.

It's a good time to turn to the Lord, to try for inner peace.

Always a good time for that. "Wherever you go, there you are." Buckaroo Bonzai

I am just glad to know that we have an excellent staff of coaches who offer our recruits a good college experience and a good future. There is no doubt that talented players can do well at Tennessee if they want to work hard and do their job for the team.

Tuesday thoughts – Copeland tweeted on Tuesday morning that he cried Monday night trying to come to a final decision. Does Alabama have room for Copeland? It seems unlikely but that depends on how they finish on Wednesday. Is Copeland going to stay home? Florida got the last visit and has regained momentum with Copeland, who was a one time Gator commit. Of all the coaches recruiting the receiver, Copeland has the best relationship with Jeremy Pruitt, but the common sense selection here is Florida. Then again, the last month hasn't made much sense in his recruitment.

I don’t remember many that said he couldn’t “recruit”. Just that he’s not elite. He’s getting way too much props for Emory Jones. Jones was once way ahead of Fields and has regressed considerably. He was an afterthought to Ohio State by the end...hence the “flip”. Mullen basically beat out Taggart due to him being a renowned QB whisperer. I didn’t want Jones for us, even when we ran a compatible system.

This is the post of the day :good!:

I will also be interested to see how well he recruits on defense. Mullen can recruit good players at offensive skilled positions. They don't have many defensive recruits this year, with 3 being 4 stars. One is Trey Dean, that Pruitt didn't seem to want. I don't know that Mullen can recruit at a level that Muschamp can.

Not that it means anything but watching the signing day preview on ESPN and this guy was brought up. Talked about "how Florida hasn't signed the number 1 receiver from Florida in a long time and needs to keep him from going to Tennessee.... I mean alabama." Lol sounds like he slipped up but could have been a total accident... roller coaster on the way up
