Not saying I disagree but has anyone that we suspect that doesn't have a commiitable offer tweeted their official offer of scholarship sent out by Tennessee?
I did read it. I think the only binding thing is a LOI or a Financial Aid Agreement. A written offer is not binding that I'm aware of, and like I said, I'm pretty certain they issue more of those than they have spots for. After all, even the early signing period is still 4+ months away. A lot can and will change.
Not that I have seen, but in my above example, if Cam Jones and Matthew Flint both tweet one, then we'll either have to believe one is not committable or we're taking two LBs.
I guess you could count the total number to see. We have 18 commitments, and we'll assume all 18 have received them. By rule, we can only take 25, so that leaves 7. Jibunor, Jacques-louis, Jeshaun Jones, Carvin, Dennis Briggs, Schwartz, and Horn have all tweeted theirs. That's 7. Is that all we offered?
Edit: Looks like Tommy Tremble and Cam Jones tweeted one too, so that puts us over 25 and I just have a hard time believing we didn't send one to Azeez Ojulari, Adam Anderson, Tommy Bush, Kevin Austin, etc. Maybe we didn't, but I'd be surprised.
I have no doubt that they send out more than they have room for, my point was that if they send them out they're willing to accept their commitment. I think Horn has a committable offer from Bama. That's what I'm saying.
And you may be be correct. It also may be contingent on another player that also received a letter today as well. Or it may be a first come, first served type deal. Back to my Jones/Flint example; both players likely received committable offers, but once one of them jumps on it, the other's offer is likely no longer committable.
FWIW, I'm not arguing that Horn is/isn't a take for Bama. I have no idea. I'm more or less discussing the process in general.
If the Staff was still confident in Horn, I don't think they would have took Deans commitment unless they're taking numerous CBs in this class.
