That's a little hard not to read into, in my honest opinion.

I can understand a Michigan or Ohio St playing in ATL for cruiting but TN shouldn't have a problem. Never was in the past. Playing in Athens and SECC would be great imo

When Hart set these games up, cruiting was somewhat a secondary concern. They wanted a big payday that will be not subject to the city of Knoxville entertainment tax. Same reason we are playing West Virginia in Charlotte.

Whether Currie will continue that strategy remains to be seen.

Not to argue, but I believe you are getting Barnett mixed up with Jashon Robertson. He showed up to visit some of our middle Tennessee EEs the first couple of weeks they were on campus, and Hurd was one of the ones who swayed him. That is part of the reason why Jashon is still friends with him.


I don't think Barnett ever committed to Vandy. He was one of the earliest ones committed to us.

Only thing that worries me about this game. No matter if Tuttle is cleared to play, he shouldn't step a foot on the field. I'm one of those guys that think Tuttle should be redshirted this year. I think it would be best for him and UT in the long run.
