i think this is a reaction to the limited pool of players left after the ESD. i think some teams still have needs, and with fewer players left to evaluate, they're finding guys they may have missed before, or didn't get a guy they were hoping to....thus increasing the value for some kids.

time's getting short, and the list of players left to go after is even shorter.:thumbsup:

He's handing out the offers. It's not like he can force CBs or safeties to choose us. What is it you want him to do? Stop chasing high rated players for lower rated ones ready to commit? Not how you win championships.

Because you take off your dirty shoes when you enter into someones home. He was being respectful, and probably just slipped them back on for the photo and hadn't obviously tied them yet as the rest did. Maybe he was the only one who took off his shoes. JMO

Big visitor this weekend

Was told this was in the works but the kid has now put it out officially — former Duke CB commit and 3-star corner Taiyon Palmer will visit Tennessee officially tomorrow. Vols been working hard to get Palmer on campus.

palmer, who decommitted from duke in late november, received an offer from tennessee on jan. 14 and has added offers from several other major programs over the past three weeks, including alabama, clemson, notre dame, arkansas, maryland, georgia tech and california.

Clemson originally was scheduled to host the 6-foot, 178-pound palmer this weekend. But he’s now planning to visit the vols, who are seeking their first cornerback commitment in the 2018 class after losing three of their top cornerbacks from last season, along with primary nickelback rashaan gaulden.

N.c. State and nebraska have hosted palmer on official visits the past two weekends, and he traveled to vanderbilt on an official visit last month. N.c. State is the current favorite to land him on the 247sports crystal ball.

I wonder if this kid is a take if he tried to commit this weekend...

Eddie and OG are clearly 1A and 1B on our CB board. It’ll be interesting to see how the staff handles things with this kid

He’s good, and CB is an immediate need.

Absolutely we need DBs and since January 1st this kid has blown up with offers from not only Tennessee but Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Cal, NC State & Maryland.

I agree that it's a good sign that we are recuiting the same players as those ass sticks to the south. Still,they are ass sticks. I was referring to alabama the program, not just recuiting. With that said buck fama

I think we end up with palmer and smith as our two corners for this class.....good start to finding some talent and build in 2019
