'18 GA DE Jamarcus Chatman (Former UT commit 6/25/17)

Jamarcus Chatman's teammate Adam Anderson just decommitted from LSU tonight . I know he is probably a heavy lean to UGA right now, but do you guys think the staff will give him a look ? He is the #1 OLB .

I saw Jamarcus reference a post calling for him to recruit Anderson to UT. While I doubt it happens, I wonder if he'll attempt to get him to visit TN

Yes, recruit him. Every little thing helps. Plus, we have no LBs committed right now. Tell Anderson, he is the only LB, UT wants and come on down and make UTs class top 5, for sure

We need to be on him ASAP .

Am I reading that right? Anderson only has 5 offers? Granted, they are LSU UGA Bama Clemson and Auburn...but still. Honestly, and this is just me dreaming here, but get Carvin and Horn and then a long shot like Anderson or Davis then just hold on tight. Man...that'd be something!

Recruits have to self-report their offers

Now that Anderson officially de-committed from LSU do you guys think that we go after him? Especially since it seems we are having problems recruiting lb's.

Send Wells and Hoke after him.. couldn't hurt..

anderson is about as close to a UGA lock as it gets. My mother works in his school and thats pretty much the word and it has been for a long time.

I don't doubt you, but he asked a legit question.

I believe it was because it was a three way package deal. When the two more talented of the party realized their friend wasn't invited, one bailed to Tennessee and the other followed suit by decommitting. My guess.

So...um...guys

I wanna go on record and admit to my being a dumba**. I went back and watched the defense against App State. Early on before JRM was ejected, we actually were playing with 3 LBs on the field a decent bit. Bynum was the 3rd LB. But honestly, he didn't look that great. Or at least he didn't seem to bring any more to the defense than Gaulden (or even Osborne, at times) did in th nickel.

So, yeah. That probably explains it. Kinda seems like maybe Shoop just didn't have a SLB that he liked that much.

My bad for derailing the thread with a bunch of $#!+ that turned out to be largely based on a faulty premise.

And this is why I like you..You're alright for a heathen atheist :)

So coach ogeron lied to 2 recruits and didn't come through on his promise?
Shocking :)

Chatman was practically glowing upon his return to Tennessee’s campus as a commit this time, enjoying hanging out with Mays and escorting Anderson around. It will be interesting to see how seriously Anderson considers UT moving forward. He’s not in a hurry to make a decision, but he’s set for a two-day trip to UGA and then Alabama on Sunday — both UT’s biggest competitors here.

Hudl is making Rome vs Harrison as the national game of the week where you can check out Chatman, Anderson, Fields, Griffin and his brother.

In a game featuring two of the top teams in Georgia, Chatman was part of a defensive line that harassed 5-star quarterback Justin Fields in a 33-21 win over Harrison High. He had two sacks and several tackles.
