'18 GA OG Dylan Wonnum

Maybe. But I think the biggest thing USC has going for it is his brother goes there. Also, I like our WR coach so far. He and CRG should pull some big time athletes from LA in ‘19 and ‘20.

I would think he could help in Memphis too.

“Tennessee and South Carolina again. Gamecocks have long been the favorites here, but the Vols haven’t slowed their pursuit and it isn’t a guarantee right now that Wonnum ends up in Columbia. The 4-star OT will announce a choice Saturday”

Cock? 30% chance UT?

Still looking into it, but right now I think there’s at least an outside chance he picks another school, whether that’s Auburn or Tennessee. Thirty percent seems a bit high, but I’m not counting out the Vols just yet.

Apparently he really likes our anthropoly program. AN article on 247 said something about it being a well known program at TN. Not sure if it's not or somethjnf elsewher

"I was supposed to go to the Body Farm, or the ARF, because that's what my actual major is, is anthropology, so they actually have that major and everything," he said, referring to Tennessee's well-known Anthropological Research Facility. "It was good. I really enjoyed myself, and I like the coaches."

Wonnum said he has developed a good relationship with new Tennessee offensive line coach Will Friend, and he "can definitely see myself playing for him." Wonnum later referred to Friend and South Carolina offensive coordinator Bryan McClendon as the funniest coaches recruiting him.

"Will Friend, he's a good guy," Wonnum said. "I like him. I like him as a coach and everything."

If Dylan is wanting to major in Anthropology, perhaps we are in way better shape here than we thought, seeing as Tennessee is one of the best schools in the country. The Forensics Anthropology concentration he is interested in is a specialization in the Biological Anthropology Graduate Program.

Edit: Fixed quote.

They gonna do damage in Louisiana & Mississippi

Gotta say, this is the first time I’ve seen our anthropology department dish out an assist for a football recruit.

Recruiting is bonkers. Haha.

I would be shocked if they get him (in a good way). Great player at a position of great need, but a lot to overcome. Big victory if the staff can get him.

Only 5% of college players make it to the NFL. So if this kid is looking at life after football and what his vocational interest might be then UT might have the advantage here.

Mature thought process as well. Even if we don’t get him, it will be easy to root for his success in life.
