'18 GA QB Justin Fields

So now I've seen Lawrence and fields.... Lawrence is a stud and rightfully numero uno (he's also surrounded by a bunch of talent). With that being said, fields could win more games in college. Lawrence all the arm talent.... Fields though has something else! Ha

I like your enthusiasm but meh..

This staff has turned Josh Dobbs into one of the most dangerous weapons in CFB. How many other "can't miss" studs ranked above him have washed out I wonder?

I agree with you. However you cannot always count on that. What scenario is more likely, a lower ranked guy that develops into one of the most dangerous weapons in CFB, or a highly ranked blue chip guy turning into the same?

I would say smart money is on the latter. I would be happy with fields but lets not fool ourselves into thinking he is on par with guys like TL and EJ.

Their college careers are two years away tap the brakes chief.

What they are thought of by the services now, is not going to make any of them any better in college.

He might not be a better pure QB talent than those 2 guys but I think he's a better fit for our system. Fields is way more athletic than Lawrence or Jones. He fits our zone read scheme perfectly.

This is sorta like comparing Hurd and Kamara. Hurd is the more talented pure RB especially in a pro-style I-formation offense. But Kamara is a better fit for our spread zone read scheme.

That's how I see Fields vs Lawrence/Jones.

I really wanted to see some iformation with hurd this year with our oline i rhink would work

So Fields runs the ball vs us from about the 10 heading in to score... one of our safeties fills the lane and Fields lowers the boom so hard my kids Earpad from his helmet ends up flying 4 yards outta bounds.

We replayed that one about 12 times during film. Oh he scored on the play as well lol

Tennessee is probably the slight favorite right now, but it will be interesting to see whether he decides to stick with his original plan of making a decision by the end of this month. I think the recent flurry of offers he has received has made him think a little bit about whether he needs more time.

Just to clarify, he moved into the top 100 per the 247 rankings, not the composite. For those relatively unfamiliar with 247, you will typically see the composite rating sited within articles; moreover, when viewing the team rankings, it will show the ranking based on the composite rankings. Great news on Fields nonetheless.

I assume that's a shot at the tony character?

Forgot to mention that he still moved up 218 spots in the composite rankings to #183 overall. Still impressive. Once the other sites follow-up, he will likely be a top 100 overall player per the composite rankings.

Thank you for that information buddy. :good!:

Up nearly 300 spots in the 247 Rankings. To top 100!!!

Let me guess, now you like him?

I said from the time I saw his film he was a better fit for our offense than Emory Jones. This kid is super athletic and can throw a nice ball.

He's essentially a mini-Dobbs.
