IMO Eason has more talent than Fromm. Fromm has had more advantages this year than Eason had last year. Chubb seems to be healthier, the defense is much better, and the receivers are playing better. The only reason I see Eason transferring is that there are rumors of him having a huge party problem ( Coke issue to be specific) and the coaches aren't happy about it. So if Fromm continues to not give a game away, he'll keep the starting position and Eason will leave. Not sure if I'm just cynical or have "Richt-itis", but I don't see UGA winning a Natty this year. We most likely choke somewhere down the line, probably UF, and end up in Orlando for the underachievers bowl.

You can win at a lot of places. He could have won at Penn State, where he was committed before. He could have won at FSU. At either place, he'd have a much clearer path to playing time. UGA just seems like an odd choice for a QB right now other than the home state aspect.

Recruiting elite prospects seems to be a herd-driven activity lately. More of a stampede than a cattle drive.

Fields is way more athletic than Eason or Fromm. Fields has run a laser timed 4.51 40 and his shuttle time is equally impressive. As far as arm strength it is: Eason, Fields, Fromm. According to the Elite 11 coaches Fields has a high football IQ, has extremely good field vision, and makes good decisions. He'll likley win the starting QB job at Georgia by 2019. No other QB on Georgia's roster has the combination of athleticism, arm talent and leadership that Fields does.

Fields is way more mobile than Fromm, has a better arm, and according to all reports, can match Fromm in leadership, work ethic and decision making. Tennessee fans know first hand how a mobile QB can transform an offense. I've watched Dobbs win games almost single handed. He clearly covered up a lot of deficiencies.

Some are probably the same. Wasn't JG's final ranking #6? Fields was ranked #1 and won the MVP. It's not just the Elite 11 coaches either. Cam Newton, who coached Fields' 7 on 7 team, has been saying for months that Fields is the real deal. Was saying that long before his recruitment blew up.

Fields is a baller, but Fromm seems to be a winner. U Dawg fans better appreciate that. Uncle Lou wants Eason to start as soon as he is completely healthy and u have Fields taking his job in Fields 2nd year. Whatever. No wonder UGA doesn't live up to expectations

Fields will never start for y'all. I already told you he's transferring in 2 years.

Fromm is your QB for the next 4 years. Especially after he wins y'all a national championship this year.

I'm pleased with what Fromm has done so far. He seems to have the head of a good quarterback. Being a good quarterback requires constant improvement, so it's too early to be more definitive than that, IMO.

As for Eason, he hasn't impressed me yet. He'll get his chances this season, but he has to keep his cool in the pocket and make good decisions since athleticism is sorely lacking. My best guess is he will eventually transfer, but that's pure speculation until we see how much progress he's made.

I'm happy we got Fields, guess he'll redshirt next year if possible. Hopefully he'll have the luxury of learning how to play the position at a high level before he gets thrown into the fire and develops bad habits in college, like looking to run at the first sign of trouble. I wish we could take another qb in this class in case Eason leaves, but doesn't seem likely. We do have a walk-on, Stetson Bennett, who is an exciting player, but very small for the position. His HUDL highlights are fun, though, if you enjoy that sort of thing.

Smart must be going to change the offense style -- Fields is DT QB and they havent recruited RBs like Gurley, Chubb or Michel recently -- Fromm will be transferring if anyone does
