I don't think so. We probably shouldn't be surprised by the rich getting richer at UGA. Kirby learned under Saban for a long time and he turned down a lot of very good head coaching opportunities to wait for a place where he thought he could implement his modified version of Saban's process and create his own dynasty.

Yeah, if GA continues getting better, and they look like they will at least currently, we better make a homerun hire if we want to compete for championships anytime in the near future.

They haven't recruited RB lately? Swift, Holyfield, White, and Cook are all rated top 3 RB in their class, if anything, RB is their deepest position and not even counting Herrien.

Yea I'm not sure what he means lol. They have top 2 RB depth in the SEC, even after Michel and Chubb leaves

Tn job is much more attractive than when Butch wa hired. Coaches know Tn already has everything in place for them to win. Name brand, facilities, fan base, etc. Does the admin put a premium on hiring the big name? That IS the question.

It's not just monetary involvement, the current setup is how the top boosters want it, them having a say. That ceases with a big name as they would want total control, Tn football is a 'hobby' for a few certain boosters, they won't give that up lightly and without their financial backing, you can't hire the guy fans want.

Last time a premium name was hired and Tn went with a big name, Johnny Majors and he gave them the hometown discount to come. Will that change?

So I take it yes you are butt hurt much. Sorry that I disagree that your son won't get much playing time at Georgia. Could I be wrong? Sure. But by looking at what they have going now, it's not likely for him to come in and get some reps, if any at all, at QB. BTW, why does me sharing my opinion about a kids future at an opposing school show that I know nothing about football? It seems to me you have some personal stake in this recruitment, or at least you feel you do ( cough cough sab cough cough). Like I said earlier. Get some thicker skin and show a rational approach as to why you think I don't know, and I quote your words, "****" about football?

Fromm is a true freshmen. What leads you to think Fields will play ahead of him?

I think Fields is the better talent and I would play him ahead of Fromm. But I'm not sure Kirby will. Especially after Fromm wins a national title as a freshmen.

Unless Fromm gets hurt, he's Georgia's QB the next 4 years.

Georgia isn't winning a National Championship this year with Fromm. Probably not with Eason either. If Georgia is able to win the East, Bama will shut down Georgia's run game, because that's what Bama does. At which point it will be up to the QB to create the offense. No way Fromm wins that match up. Eason likely struggles also, but at least he has an NFL arm and can throw into tight windows; which might make it interesting for a quarter or two.

What I'm saying with regards to Eason is, he is a three and out type QB. If he wins the starting job back this year, he will likely be the starter next year, and then be off to the NFL. If Fromm remains the starter, Eason will likely transfer next year. I actually agree with Uncle Lou and want Eason to start when he is fully healthy to see if he's improved during the off season.

Right. Not only will Fields transfer in two years, but he'll transfer to Tennessee to play in Chip Kelly's offense, who will be the OC for head coach Gruden.

Smart isn't going to change the offense for Fields. Fields doesn't want to be a running QB. He prefers to throw. One reason he came to Georgia was because he is interested in playing for a team that still has elements of a pro style offense. Fromm ran some zone read plays against Tennessee where he kept the ball and ran, so that play is already in the playbook. As for RB; Swift, Zamir White, and probably Cook.
