I think we land Lawrence, McKee, Fields, or Emory Jones. This staff isn’t playing games. If they miss on a big time QB (Penix and Martinez were 2nd or 3rd tier) then we go after the top QBs in 2019 and roll with Dormady and JG. I bet Pruitt would also let the two local OL go if it wouldn’t kill local relationships with HS coaches. Going to recruit to compete with UGA and Bama, not South Carolina and Mizzou.

I just don't see the logic in Fields going to UGA. They already have Eason, who is proven, and Fromm, who has taken them to the CFP as a true freshman.

What makes him think he's going to start over either of them?

Trevor Lawrence is possibly the best high school QB I've seen since Peyton, but he's locked at Clemson. Maybe Hunter Johnson will transfer back to us.

Fields I'd love to see wind up here though.

Link the reports. I can link reports from Jeff Sentell, their insider, claiming he is staying put. Fields knew the deal coming in; said he was fine redshirting (no he isn't redshirting this year, just that he was fine coming into the season to do so). These rumors have been going on half the season.

I thought the same thing during the season. He would play 2 or 3 plays the whole game, then be on the sideline for remaining of the game...
