'18 GA QB Trevor Lawrence

Just looked it up out of morbid curiosity.... Kelly had 509 rushing yards and 10 tds last season. I believe the cutoff is 500 to be labeled a dual threat, Nationdom?

If you watch film, Lawrence is as good or better runner. However, he probably realizes that the shelf life of a running QB is short. Seems both are trying to determine where they fit best and which program will continue to develop them. Seems like UT is promising each a different scheme. These 2 seem to be friends off of the field. Coaching staff needs to careful how they play this, could result in signing neither.

Alabama, AUburn, Clemson, Duke, FL, UGA, GT, LSU, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Michigan ST, Mizzou, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Purdue, Rutgers, USCe and Stanford were in Cartersville last week to see TL. Still wouldn't sleep on Clemson here.

Fyp.

Personally I don't care where he chooses yet. With 2 years til his NSD, it doesn't matter a whole lot.

Almost put Fla here as well, never heard of Flordia however, must be a new place. :p

Are you redshirting Frank's this year? Your QB looked pretty good in the spring game.

Haha

I like what Del Rio showed this spring. Makes me feel somewhat better about him heading into fall. Trask showed why they offered him despite being a backup.
Frank's is definitely looking at RS unless things go bad with injuries. Honestly I'm not sure he'll ever start at UF with Trask and Allen being ahead of him developmentally.. has all the physical tools but he's going to need a couple of years to learn how to be a QB. Right now he's just a good athlete playing the position. I like Trask moving forward.

Technically it's a year and a half since he plans to EE. I agree with what your saying with the way kids decommit these days. At one time you could count on QBs sticking and being vocal recruiters for their class. Not so much with them lately.

I have been told by a Cartersville alum, whose son plays baseball with him, that he is a "California boy with zero work ethic". This person thinks he will be a bust at the next level because he's not willing to put in the work to succeed. I'll be interested to see how his college career plays out, and if this person is right.

He's from Johnson City California?? I thought he was born in TN.

I am a Cartersville alum and I've been told the exact opposite.
