You can ignore everything and claim we lead if you like. Its alright man. I won't hate Ya. Nothing is impossible but the quote Ron posted felt our coaches were opening up to other options.

Never said we lead. All I am saying is there is no possible way anyone can forecast what a 2018 recruit will/wont do in July 2016. Many things can happen in 2 years. Basically anything any media personality says means nothing at this point. Coaches looking for other options doesnt mean anything. I woukd be willing to bet every coach looks at and recruits multiple targets at a certain position. You think Saban and Meyer just look at a couple of guys at a certain position? Highly, highly unlikely.

Of course they look at a lot of options. I do think it's reasonable to say it was TL and EJ early. I'm sure you noticed not much chatter on any other QBs for 2018 as the staff likely wasn't going to push for any others until they knew TL and EJ were headed elsewhere. IMO they may now have that answer. I'd move on. Now if TL or EJ want to visit in the future I'd imagine Butch will entertain it. I think at least for now, EJ plans to shut it down. TL to me is even less likely. He didn't even keep us as an option. He actually eliminated us from his choices. IMO, that's even worse.

IMO it's time to ramp up QB recruiting and move on from these 2. At least for now.

makes you think that Emory Jones is a lost cause? Everything I have seen in the last two days indicates it is far from over for him.

Let's face it, every time people claim that Emory Joes will announce in one or two weeks, he has always come out and said that would not happen. He visited Knoxville and Columbus this past week and liked both trips, but still does not have a decision.

Just my opinion, but the longer this drags on, the better for us.

Was just posted in his thread it looks like we've lost that battle. At least for now. They think it's OSU and soon.

It even came from TL in a round about way. A while back he stated that he wanted to visit us again and that he didn't know our coaches very well. Our coaches are in constant contact with the guys they want.

Any hope that he would still visit here? Really hope Butch didn't drop the ball on this as has been discussed. That doesn't sound like him but who knows.

If I were guessing I'd say this situation played out like the Ross situation did. Staff clearly wanted him. At some point they felt they were not getting him and they moved the focus elsewhere. I don't think they screwed up, just a bit of damage control. JMO

He wasn't until the last update. My apologies. I was going off of their previous rankings but EJ is still no slouch and if he is the QB CBJ wants, I have no problem with it!

Total BS. The QB depth at Clemson and UGA are far superior to ours. These are theories. TL had almost zero contact with Callahan. Look at the analysts he spoke to. Not hard to figure out.

Let's put this to and end. TL saw a mediocre staff. Poor Oline, poorly coached and unhappy group of receivers. And yes a scheme that is somewhat effective with a poor Oline and a QB that can't throw very well. Positive- 2 great backs. Is he supposed to believe any pass first QB could be successful. He told the staff he wasn't interested after his last visit in March.

Unfortunately, jones saw the same issues and distance to momma ain't going to overcome the other concerns. This will kill WR recruiting. Think about it if you are an elite receiver, why would want to play in our scheme. These kids a are objective not just overwhelmed because we have a great game day with 102,000 people.

I disagree. The Qbs already on campus at those two schools do not compare favorably with the ones we have on campus today. The class of 2017 is not set in stone and who knows what our class will look like on signing day. Dobbs was a signing day flip. It could happen again.

Step down off the ledge buddy, its gonna be okay. We have a great oline I don't know what you're talking about. And we must be doing something right, we nabbed the best DT QB in the country last year

Call me whatever you want. You can't seriously believe we have a great depth chart at QB. Yes JG will be the best of what we have. That isn't saying much. WR recruiting, WR coaching and Oline play are not good period. If we had a great OL, Hurd would have 1,500 plus yards and he would see some "I" formation. He does it in spite of blocking.
