I don't think they WANT 3* players. Fact is they seem to WANT kids like Higgins, Stevens, Moore, J.Williams, Gibbs and others who are highly rated and sought after. Now as they miss they take what they can get. IMO we see a lot of the back up options committed today. Long way to go yes. But once you've lost them, grab the back up options. I believe that's what we're seeing play out.

Has the recruiting profile somehow changed? I'm not buying it. The staff was grabbing the 4-5* in 2014&2015. We're projected to be a contender BECAUSE of that. We've got the 3* loaded class because we've missed a bunch.

It's 18 months until tl signs on the dotted line for the school he attends. He hasnt been showing us much love here latly, but i do like the fact that he grew up a vols fan. With 2 more seasons before he signs is good for us I think. It gives us time to show were back and hopfully the dawgs continue to underperform with all the talent they have.

If he had not eliminated us I'd like our chances of getting back in on him. If he's considering 3, we're at least in it even if we are 3rd. What I read a while back seemed to point to him only considering UGA and Clemson going forward.

Man, Clemson and Georgia are getting on my nerves. Clemson seems to be the "sexy" pick for all these youngsters, and then Georgia, well there just Georgia. Heres to hoping they fail miserably this year. However, i still have to think we will wind up in good shape with the 17 and 18 classes. Butch has always come through in recruting and i believe he will do it again.

And that means there is absolutely NO chance he could ever change his mind right? I mean its so close to NSD 2018 that there is NO chance any team could creep in right? Its only Clemson and UGA. Hmmm, I wonder then if all the schools that offered him will just give up recruiting him?

I wonder why tl is even considering Clemson. It just puzzles me that if tl and hj are both at clemson, and there both as good as advertized. That means that one of them will probably wind up transferring. I mean if Johnson is planning on signing in February, surely its crossed his mind that maybe Lawrence will get the nod on him, then hes a back up at clemson for his college career. Then im sure someone like Lawrence dont want to wait until hes a senior to play either.

Nope. Florida was 3rd. Crazy - pains me to type it. Vols didn't finish in top 3.

He's playing tonight. Raining pretty good here at the moment, so I probably won't go.... Not as interested in reporting on him now that our Vols are out of it.

So a top 3 list is posted this far away from NSD 2018 and it's automatically set in stone? And that means every team that didnt make his top 3 should just quit recruiting him right? My God some people just really do not get how recruiting actually works.

Emory Jones and Trevor Lawrence are better than this at 16 years old. Put Dormandy in. Maybe Butch wants the golden parachute severance package with this level of play.
