Would be funny but I don’t see Dabo going to Bama period. I don’t care if that’s where he went. He’s built Clemson into a power, he’s not leaving. Period. It’s silly to see so many people think he will be Saban successor someday.

I almost 100,% guarantee he would take the Ala job and not think twice about it. It's the only job he would leave Clemson for but there is a way better chance he would take it than turn it down. Then to have the chance to win a NC not only at a 2nd different school but at his Alma Mater that he bleeds Crimson for. He's as big of a Bammer Homer you will see. His wife, just like him were born and raised in Bham and met in HS while both were at Pelham. And Ala would pay him way more.

I hope he stays at Clemson and never Coach's Ala but he's hinted around about it before and Ala would be his dream job. There's zero doubt he would take the job unless Saban had been fired and left them with pending infraction's. Which isn't impossible as crooked as they have been dating back to Bear Bryant.

Yes Clemson's front 7 is the best group in the country and that's not my words it's the ones who do that stuff for a living. I would put the SEC/ACC on the exact same level this year. I haven't seen an elite team this year. There isn't that 1 dominant team thats feared by everyone and just better than everyone else. From a stats standpoint Clem/Ala are pretty much even on everything. Clemson has the better SOS which just shows their schedule was stronger than Alabama's. If you just compare common opponents AU is one common opponent. AU beat Ala by 12 and Clem beat AU. Then Ala and Clem both beat FSU X 17.If Ala struggled offensively like they did vs LSU, Fla St and AU how can they do much against an even better Clemson D? To me the difference will come down to who has the better passing QB and that would be Clemson. To me this is the deciding factor. There was 3 games that teams made Ala 1 dimensional and then when they couldn't run Hurts couldn't get it done with his arm. FSU, LSU and AU were the 3. In those game Hurts was a combined 33-64 391 TOTAL passing yards combined in the 3 gamers. And then offensively Ala had 314 total yards or less all 3 with an average of 294 yards a game avg vs those 3. Clemson is better than all 3 of them. FSU and LSU just didn't have the QB to take advantage and beat Ala like AU did. Clemson has the QB who can beat Ala. Unless Hurts suddenly discovers a passing game or Saban brings in their FR QB phenom I can see Clem winning by 10-14 like AU did and possibly by more.

I really hope that coach is working Lawrence behind the scenes. The guy is a prodigy imo. We need a QB, he grew up a Vols fan, he is perfect for Helton’s system. That’s a QB you can win a national championship with. Really hope we’re talking with him

I understand this but at the same time, MOST of the top rated guys at the QB position already know where they are going. We joined the game late with this staff and relationships have already been built. Sure, we could get a QB in this class but the chances of him being recruited over next year is probable. I'd be ok with stacking talent everywhere else and focus next year on the Big Fish QB.

You gotta get over the “top rated” stuff. McBride was nowhere near that in the last class but we ended up needing him. We had 3 scholarship QBs in front of him, when he arrived on campus. That’s where we are now with the same possibility that one (Dormady) will transfer like Sheriron did last season. Big Fish QB’s don’t prefer rosters where the previous QB’s died on the field.

I've felt that the rise of Clemson correlates to the firing of CFP and the fall of Tennessee. So I took a look at Clemson's top 20 finishes back to around when Fulmer was hired as HC and then fired.

It's weird to think that Clemson beat Auburn, who beat Alabama, but they also lost to Syracuse. Football is a crazy sport.
