'18 GA RB Anthony Grant (FSU signee)

Are you in Buford?

Nah man, I just moved from Nashville area to Myrtle Beach, SC. I told a few post back how I kind of half assed stupidly fell into being a Buford GA fan. But regardless of how I became one, I am one now. :)

Buford has some of the top facilities in the country for HS. There is so much money being poured into that town it's ridiculous. I'm practically moving there next week. I've talked to a fair amount of people and they churn out D1 players pretty well, if I remember right.

Man most schools in this area turn out talent. I live in Archer district and nephew starts at North Gwinnett...welcome

With two running back spots open, Buford (Ga.) running back Anthony Grant is a prime candidate to fill the void. He was in Knoxville again on Saturday and was all smiles after leaving Rocky Top.

"Every time I come here, it feels more and more like home," Grant said. "There wasn't anything really different. It's on my mind (to commit), but I'm going to wait a couple of more weeks."

Grant will decide over the next few weeks between Tennessee, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. Auburn has also come very hard at him of late, but the Tigers may be late to the party. Grant has visited the Hokies, Heels and Vols over the last few weeks and says he has a "home" type feel at each school.

"I get a long with coach G very well," Grant said. "Every time we talk, he calls me about everything and it gets better and better. I talk to him about everything, grades and everything. I feel laid back with him. He's a great guy."

With a need at tailback, Tennessee has made both Grant and Lyn-J Dixon high priorities. Grant sees the need and possibility for early playing time and it appeals to him. "It's very important," Grant said. "That's what I want to do is make an early impact."

Grant and his high school teammate, Christian Turner, both went over 1,000 yards last year. He fully-understands splitting time and that's why the tandem of he and Dixon is a positive and not a negative. "Lyn-J and I have been talking about for a while now" Grant said, smiling. "I like It."

Impressive and that doesn't include his return yardage and I know he had at least a 95 yard ko return in the state title game. Look at those defensive stats. Like I have said before, this kid is just a football player. If for some strange reason, he doesn't work out at RB, I could see him playing safety, LB or possibly even CB ( least likely, but never say never ) and be an elite returner. This kid is a big- time .......WANT

Grant's 40 time wasn't reported at The Nike Opening Regional Atlanta in March, but he ran a a 4.35 shuttle at 185 pounds.

I know many have said it already but I'd feel real good about our back depth with Chandler, Lynn-J, and Grant running behind our line the next 3-4 years.

And I don't mean to dismiss Coleman or Fils-Amine

At running back, all eyes are on the Peach State with both Anthony Grant and Lyn-J Dixon set to make decisions in the near future. Dixon has already tweeted that he is announcing his choice on Saturday. Both guys really enjoyed their time last weekend with coach Robert Gillespie and in our estimations, the duo could do something very soon. It’s not out of the question that the two have spoken about doing something on the same day.
