'18 LA CB/WR Eddie Smith

Talking about of these new coaches maybe to need to look at a few things. Kirby has a lot to prove still. He came into a situation with a load of talent already on the roster and a state rich in talent that most want to play at UGA. No different then the situation Saban left Miles at LSU who won a NC year 2 years but once his recruits started hitting the field player development was not the same and coaching lacked and LSU became what it is now. Proving talent can win. So the question is can Kirby develop players and coach in the big games.

Regarding Pruitt I think he may be closer to getting the same results in a program that Saban does more then Kirby. His disadvantage is Saban came into UA and was able to roster manipulate until Ole Miss signed like 40 players mostly sign and place which resulted in the rule getting changed to 25. Saban to build the program at UA was able to gut the roster and fill it with his players early. Pruitt will not have that ability so it may take him 4 years to get UT in position to win the SEC and go farther.

You may not see 10+ wins the first two years but you will see a different game out there with players showing a passion to win that has not be seen in Neyland for a long time. Pruitt has that it factor with the players on and off the field.

Good post. Agree completely.

Yeah that's what I'm saying hoss. If you read the post, I said that a good number of posters by the time fall camp rolls around will be of the opinion that Kirby isn't in Pruitt's league.

I got that, chief. I was just making a joke about Georgia coaches and how it seems funny to me to imagine them sniffing Tennessee coaches' farts. Farts are funny.

Hey TW.

1. Sorry for being edgy the other night. I checked your past posts and you’re good people.

2. If Bama had a vacancy at HC and your only choices were Smart or Pruitt. Who’d you take?

No worry and I would take Pruitt because as mentioned before not afraid to make adjustments when needed to. Kirby against CU 2 years ago and this year against us in the 2nd half of both games tightened up in my opinion and he always does in big games. Pruitt makes adjustments and they may not work out every time but I would rather go down swinging instead of taking a punch like Kirby seems to do.

Accurate assessment.

Seems like Shaq would have heard that the staff he played for is gone. And that the new staff knows a thing or two about DB’s. 🤔

....and would he have been any better under the NEW staff?
or would he gotten more playing time?

May have gotten better under the new staff, but Idk about anymore playing time. Obviously, the new staff prefers bigger CBs and Shaq's smaller than most.

That is what I’ve been saying all along. Smart can’t beat Pruitt. He will make adjustments to fix whatever needs to be fixed. He will win here.

Thanks TW. Send Smith and Walker our way por favor.

Shaq, stay out of it. Are you a Tennessee hater now? This is none sense, for you to be doing this, while our coaches are working hard to get him. :thud::pinch::boxing2:

I assume he would say the same thing about all 3 schools he temporarily attended.
