Saban is pushing 70. No idea how much longer he hangs around.

Lol. The guy has to retire at some point. I'm just saying he's one of the oldest coaches in the nation in one of the highest stress jobs in the country. And Saban is an anal grinder so it's not like he's a laid back dude.

It was hugely disappointing but obvious the entire season. A good chunk of those guys had completely checked out.

I think they checked out after the a&m game last year when half the team was already hurt and their miracle run had ended.

and I dont think he is a guy to give up with a job half done. now anyone else would consider what he has done enough, but I don't see it from Saban. imo. It would take a perfect season type of thing to get him to consider it imo.

also Saban looks pretty young for his age.

Bill Snyder in 2009 (69 depending on the math)

Bill Snyder has been holding them hostage forever. That dude won't leave because they won't agree to make his son head coach. Even though his son has never coached anywhere or for anyone else but daddy.

Snyder had already retired, K St. once again began to suck and they begged him to come back. Snyder came back and they started winning again. I don't know how that is holding K St. hostage? K St. should get on their knees, thank Snyder and beg him to coach them until he dies, imo.

K state Alumni and fans disagree about that now. They are ready for him to go and every year he waits to let them know if he's staying or leaving until its way to late interview a coach for recruiting purposes. This year he tried the whole "hire my son" thing. The powers to be said no so he waited until it was to late to say he was staying. The past is just that, past.

Were you one of the fans that wanted Phil gone?

Well, they shouldn't have begged him to stop their downward spiral into Sucktown. He is their greatest coach and probably deserves a statue in front of their stadium.

Although, I don't know what wanting Phil fired has to do with this? No, I didn't want him fired, not yet, he deserved another year, maybe 2. Yes, I thought Phil had gotten somewhat satisfied and/or complacent. He made a bad OC hire or needed another year to get it running correctly. But, knowing what I know now, Phil was about to bring in a really good recruiting class. Would have loved to see what Boyd would have done as a Vol.
