Holy s*** that's hilarious!!!

"When I got down there, it felt like a home away from home," Reed said. "It wasn't too far from my family, but was far enough for me to grow up on my own. I like the coaches and the environment. Plus I like the 2017 class and they are gong to be something good to go along with my class when all is said and done."

"I saw the depth chart on the defensive backs, but it wasn't just that," Reed said. "I took my whole family. I took my grandparents, my sister, my mom and my little cousin. Those people are important to me. They actually recruited them more than me. They got my family happy and that made me happy."

At 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, Reed is long and rangy. He has the length and speed to be a nightmare for opposing passing attacks. "I'm just a ballplayer," Reed said. "There isn't much more to it. I think my length helps me a lot. I have a big wingspan and run a 4.48. I think it's my length and my speed."

First year Vol assistant Charlton Warren is working overtime to develop his current team, while recruiting for the future. He and Reed hit it off right away. "He's really straight forward," Reed said. "He told me he liked my abilities. When we were talking, he broke down my film and didn't even have to pull it up so he had really studied me before having us on campus."

And as for head coach Butch Jones, Reed feels like his demeanor trickles down to those around him. "He's a really humble guy," Reed said. "He's just a real guy. I like the whole staff at Tennessee. They all care about their players. Like coach Warren and coach (Bob) Shoop helped seal the deal for me."

"When I got on campus the coaching staff knew me, the players knew me, everyone knew me by name," said Reed, a senior cornerback for Olive Branch. "It felt like I was a priority. When you get that feeling like you're home even though you're outside of Mississippi you just gotta go with it."

It wasn't just the vibe that helped Reed make this decision. The academic experience he was given a sneak peek into was another major factor in his commitment. He's focused on football but has dreams beyond it—something his mother, Mykisha Williams, has always encouraged. Reed decided to make it official after his visit with the program last weekend. It wasn't like any other recruiting visit he had been on, he said. He wasn't treated like a recruit but rather like a part of the program, part of the future of Vols tootball. "It didn't feel like a recruitment trip," Reed said. "It felt like I was already a part of it. It felt like home."

Every commitment we've picked up has been well spoken, modest, articulate, and embrace everything about the team. I'm loving it.

I've had the privilege to meet several of Butch's players away from campus/football and can tell you that every player has been extremely well mannered, articulate and a great representative of UT. It's a long way from the players I met under any coach prior back all the way to Majors. Butch really is serious about having players that represent the team well.
