'18 NC RB Zamir White

I know it's been posted in here before but the attrition from his classes is mind blowing

Yep, especially among his higher rated recruits and there was a reason for that, because the majority of his highly rated signees were guys with either grade issues or serious off field issues that nobody else would take.

Yep, all true. Not to mention Mark Richt is a way better coach than Dooley who's always been an elite recruiter. Dooley always got the sloppy seconds that never did attribute much and destroyed local high school relationships. He didn't even put in effort to try to recruit Jalen Ramsey or Vonn Bell. Bell basically grew up loving the Vols. Nobody can just sit there and tell you that Dooley recruited "fine". That's a load of BS.

I vividly recall being convinced that Christian Harris was gonna be a stud...

Yes but, have you ever been jealous of a dog licking himself?......

"Depleted roster"

We had like 5 guys out at that point. You should be able to beat a bottom dweller missing a handful of guys in year 4.

Latroy Lewis and Jonathan Kongbo were playing at defensive tackle. The secondary should have been better, but the DL was a mess.

Pretty much this. A lot his four star players also weren't wanted by major schools. They were highly rated by recruiting services but not as sought after as far as major teams pursuing them. Don't even get me started on him addressing areas of need either. The talent gap was so wide at some positions that we were badly behind the rest of the conference.

Not to mention Dooley pissed off and alienated about everyone that had the unfortunate privilege of meeting him.

But CBJ's 3* are in high demand?

This guy has to be a troll, right? He's defending Dooley's recruiting? Does he not remember how slow that team was? Auburn ran for about 100 miles against us that year we were so slow. But Dooley recruited top 15!! 😂

I said on paper his classes were top 15, not the field, keep up. The only thing you're basing UGA's roster off of is recruiting rankings. I'm showing you evidence of why going off the rankings alone doesn't support your argument i.e. Dooley. Have you studied the last 4 UGA classes to determine who was still there when Kirby took over, who has character issues, who never made it in, etc?

All I know is that Mark Richt never had trouble winning 9-10 games with the players he recruited and Kirby Smart went 7-5 and lost to Vandy at home on homecoming and nearly lost to Nichols State at home also

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here? If you think Dooley was a great recruiter I'm not sure I can communicate on a level that you can understand. Our teams were noticeably slower and less talented than our SEC opponents during his time here, not to mention a complete void of depth at some positions. That has noticeably changed since Butch got here.

Nothing to accomplish. Just saying you can't say one coach's 4* weren't good because they didn't have big time offers but then act like 3* with the same offers are all diamonds that everyone else missed. That's why i refer to offers much more so than rankings to begin with. 3* Chatman has a longer and more elite offer list than 4* Penix. Clearly coaches all over the country think Chatman can play at the highest level, regardless of where he's ranked.

And Cross and Ingle have sheets littered with G-5 offers. We can find one-offs in either direction, all day.

Pretty sure they haven't signed their LOI yet. Butch has done this consistently every year, getting commits from kids lower on the board and upgrading as NSD gets closer. He has been a lot more selective so far this year, but we still have plenty of time to upgrade.

No. I think the argument is that Kirby returned 2 all SEC RB's. Had solid returners on the OL, TE and WR. Returned almost all their defense and special teams. Mark Richt won 10 games the season before without Chubb and with no QB near Eason's level.

Net result was -2 and a worse bowl.

They lost 4 starters on the DL from 2015, 3 LB and 2 OL and had Chubb and Michel coming off of major injuries. Secondary is the only position that returned all starters in 2016.

What's so funny? Is it not true Dooley's classes on NSD were ranked in the top 15?

9 from Kiffin, 15 his second year 19 his third IIRC. went back and looked at those classes and I am pretty sure a good 10 of those players never even practiced with UT.
