So if London picks up a huge 3rd and one late, or bulls into the endzone off G on 4th down from the one for the game winning TD against Kentucky, Mizzou or USC...is he not worth it also?Questioning the strategy with grad transfers and blueshirts does not necessarily equal thinking that "the coaching staff is clueless and has no plan." Personally I think it's a little short sighted. I would be willing to bet we end up turning someone away due to numbers for the 2019 class who would do more for us long term than any of these transfers/blue shirts, but in the grand scheme of things I doubt it ends up being that big of a deal. Any player getting turned away won't be a priority.
My best guess at this point is that we're making a small improvement to the roster short term at the cost of a little bit bigger improvement long term.
The wildcard to me is Chryst. If he ends up being the starter and playing really well, that's big.
I'll be interested to see how it all turns out. Bottom line, if this staff recruits and develops players like we all hope they can, this is probably nothing more than a minor blip on the radar.
