Picking up Madre isn't really giving me a reason to trust them. This tell me we just need practice bodies.

The remaining RB corp was a bunch of undersized guys. Talent? Sure. But not guys that can put their shoulder down and muscle a yard when desperately needed. You can see what they thought of Fils-Aime. So, there is one off the depth chart. I think it's a big reason Gillespie isn't here.

Not to mention, we don't know who else transfers.

We also don't know how any of these guys will look with some S&C. None of the remaining RB's have had the chance to bulk up yet. Some of them will probably look a lot different this fall would be my guess.

hurd was the biggest back we have had in a while. got taken down by arm tackles. Kelly was one of the smallest and he wasn't easy to tackle. size isn't everything. attitudes got more to do with it imo.

I thought Kelly played at about 206. For a 5 10 guy, that is not small.

Speaking of Hurd...is anyone interested to see what he does at Baylor this fall, and what position he is playing?

Indeed. Loved Hurd. Coach Fulmer would have done some power running with him, and it would have been nice to see instead of that read option dance

That’s what DeBord desired. Debuted it in the bowl game. Butch nuked it the next season, which led to the fireworks and DeBord “retiring”. Watershed.

I don't get it. He doesn't look anything like a wR unless he has drastically changed his body. Made more sense to be RB, LB or Saftey. He is taking away one of his biggest attritubutes in size if he is getting slim.

Says he's 6'4" and 220 lbs. A lot of big WR's in the NFL now. We know he has good hands and would be good at YAC. Having to learn route running. Will see how it goes.

Yeah he is good as a RB catching. It's different as a WR. He just doesn't come off to me in the way he moved at TN that he would be a guy that would be running good routes as a WR to get open. He also take a while to build up speed.

Saw pics. He’s drastically changed his body. He was naturally slimmer and bulked up for RB imo. Never saw the TE, LB and safety projection for him tbh. Got hurt trying to play safety his senior year.

Many of you don't know much about the kid. At Beech before the starter at Rb got suspended Hurd was a Wr/S. He moved out of necessity. His dad was a college Wr at TSU here in Nashville and he can do it. He'll be just fine especially in Baylor's offense being that they run a backyard offense w/o a route tree.
