'18 TN ATH Joseph Norwood

We decided not to take this kid. This means Pruitt feels better about our DB situation than when he first arrived.

OR...we got a JUCO cornerback who took his spot so he was moved back to a grayshirt. He just took a better offer (for him).

And if that happened that would be much worse than anything Butch did with culling players.

I don't think it did

Told the kid from the start he was a blueshirt. He just went with MTSU after he saw the JUCO kid brought in. Blueshirt turned into gitshirt. Only instead of Butch having a player run him off after he enrolled, he was told this could all happen beforehand. Typical Saban-like business is business.

And I don’t think Pruitt is happy about his DBs at all.

Just get the best kids. Some of you people are so obsessed with this wall around TN. Sheesh. :)

OK.....but if some of the best kids are from the state of TN, don't let them leave. 2 of the best have already committed to GA and LSU. That is a problem!

Has been for yrs.

Newt only focuses on the TN kids. There is lots of talent out there. He drives me bonkers with his TN obsession.

Perhaps he took his blue shirt spot in the 19 class since it counts against next year’s numbers. So, he took his spot for 19. They didn’t want Norwood and George and obviously preferred George whatever the reason might be.

Davis still has a spot if he doesn’t go MLB and now I’m hearing on VQ that the Stanford CB graduate transfer is still in play. I don’t think this was because of numbers.

They're still looking at transfers and don't appear worried about numbers. They backed off Norwood and it worked out for all.

Processed?

Can’t say for sure. I’ve heard some rumblings about a possible admissions issue, but no confirmation on that right now, and Norwood hasn’t commented to this point.

I highly doubt he is happy with his DBs. Safeties probably but the CBs he probably doesn't sleep well at night thinking about

Every time we offer someone people say its because Pruitt is unhappy about that position. So following that commonly stated logic him turning this guy away means he's happy about the db's right?

I don’t think it’s just numbers either but they would’ve kept him if they had not got some of these others interested afterwards.
