'18 TN ATH Joseph Norwood

Why is his name out there as having been involved? Was he tried as an adult?

No, apparently was tried as a juvenile (all 3 defendants). Norwood and another were convicted of aggravated battery (may have been from a plea agreement). the older player was found guilty of aggravated rape.

Since they were juvenile records they are supposed to be sealed under the law. But on that chat link someone mentioned their names.

This sounds a lot like what happened with Daniel Hood, insofar as the name being made public. What's crazy is a poster on 247 said he has a family member that either teaches or coaches him - and that he is a very good kid, involved in FCA, etc.

Apparently Hargis did not know either.

He's ranked 11 in the state...

Edit: He can add enough weight to contribute during the off-season.

His instincts, physicality and mind-set...you just can't coach.

I absolutely believe he's on the field next year.

:) 247 updated him he wasn't in the Top 35 when I looked!

Well per this thread he didn't do that but I do believe in forgiveness

I believe in forgiveness too, but that doesn’t mean you get to represent my school and state after committing atrocious acts. I believe in second chances as well, but you forgo certain privileges upon doing certain deeds.

Translation: You don’t believe in second chances. :)

What what schooling, training or jobs should he be allowed to pursue for the rest of his life?

Pruitt was a bit pissy about him at the Press conference. Do you think he backed off after he found out?

edit: NM (see above) but it is off putting..

I believe in second chances in most situations..
Some UT fans don't, even if not guilty....i.e. a certain DC from up north whose name will not be mentioned. JMO

With the way things are about abuse right now I don’t see any way he’s a part of this team if any of this is true.

That's how I feel as well. I don't pretend to know everything, but what I do know is really concerning.

People can change no matter how heinous the crime, but choosing to be affiliated with certain people even if a change is made is a different story.

Why are we looking at blue shirts? Seems like we could take 23 and we’re well below that.

I think we are keeping 2 scholys open in case someone else is found before the fall. (late qualifiers, transfers, etc.) If the 2 scholys are not used, the 2 blue shirts would be changed to 2018 counters.
