'18 TN DB Brendon Harris (UT Commit 5/19/17)

I have a hard time seeing how you come to the conclusion that Georgia players are better than Florida players. You think Georgia players can't have that mentality? I hate Florida as much as the next guy but talk about painting with a broad brush.

Sorry, should have made separate posts or at least separate paragraphs.

I think that overall, historically that the Georgia players have been better for Tennessee.

The other sentences had nothing to do with Florida players. Was actually a completely different train of thought.

Hope that clarifies the post you quoted.

I can't stand painting btw.
:)

My bad I got people mixed up....

I believe you were referring to Brad Shepherd saying Harris is a Vol, and it was only a timing issue on when he announced it. I have no idea if that is legit or anything, but I think that's where you heard it.

It'll be hard to beat the 2015 class. That was by far the best one they signed on paper IMO. But it would certainly be an outstanding start to add those three to the fold. I just don't see us in with a lot of elite guys out of state to make it a Top 5 type class.

I always feel like the Elite out of state guys pop up on our radar a bit later sometimes. But you may be right.

Seems like we don't have as much traction in NC this yr.

Yeah our start in NC has been disappointing, especially with all the staff members who supposedly have "strong ties" there. And once again we aren't a factor with any of the top shelf GA guys. Just crazy what has happened to us in that state the last 2 years.

Guess losing Martinez and Jaceck maybe hurt there? Besides the obvious Kirby craze last yr.

Definitely disappointing. But the state of Georgia this year is not as loaded as it usually is. Other than the QBs I would say Georgia is on par with the state of Tennessee for this particular year.

According to 247 composite, Georgia has 153 players ranked vs. our 55. Not counting their 3 5* QBs, they have 1 5* and 25 4*s. We have 1 5* but only 8 4*s. So, it's really not that close still. Good thing most of the top ranked Georgia players aren't staying home as of now.

Recruiting services are always right. Lol. But being from Georgia and knowing a little bit. The state talent this year isn't like normal. We currently have a CB commit that's a 3 star but we all know is a 4 star. Reed another corner who is a 3 star has a good of film as anyone in the state of Georgia at corner.

Does the state of Georgia produce more overall when it comes to quantity Years. But th class in the state this year is nothing special.

It is as good as it always is. We are lucky UGA is missing out on everyone.

You have teams like Rome that have 3/4ths of their DL committed to LSU and those guys aren't even in the top 20 in the state. The top 2 dual threat QBs and #1 QB overall are Georgians. There are 10 players in the 247 top 100 from Georgia.

Speaking of. I just now realized that after that monster class last year, UGA is struggling mightily on the recruiting trail. Their class currently consists of 2 three star players and a 2 star kicker. I know that will change, but wow, talk about a slow start.

And 8 of the top 12 players in ga are heading elsewhere at the moment.
