'18 TN DL Greg Emerson (UT commit 7/3/17)

Plays minimally to none this season. Bama "backs away" (were out of it anyway). He's good to go by the time he signs with us.

Get well soon, Greg and thank God, Cade decided to pass and get completely healthy

Was carted off the field too. I haven't for him. Silver lining? Most players who lean towards us and get hurt commit...

Emerson plays HS ball 4 miles from where I live....I've enjoyed watching him play and was looking forward to watching him this Fall. I met him after Trey Smith's announcement ceremony and he was a fine young gentleman.

Good luck and get well!

Dislocated ankle and fractured fibula. Will have surgery and could be back and ready to go in 4 to 6 weeks.

Dislocated ankles are no joke. Big man needs to be careful with this and put himself first so as not to risk his scholarship chances.

I wonder if the fractured fibula helped maintain the integrity of his lateral ankle ligaments. 4-6 weeks seems like a pretty short time frame. But glad to hear it. Seems like a great kid who will do all the right things and keep putting in the the work.

Oh I guess I should have said we are picking up right where we left off.

From his twitter acct

Thanks for all the prayers and concerns but I am fine I will be back and running w/ in 4-6 weeks

That sounds great but tremendously optimistic. If he's walking on it in 8 weeks I would think that would be a huge win.

Bone immediately above the ankle is softer and heals faster than other bone...4 to 6 weeks on the bone is completely realistic. Soft tissue is a much bigger question.

You should have stopped when you expressed sympathy for Emerson and his injury, but you just could not resist taking a jab at Tennessee. Yes, I know, it was just about our bad luck, but it was still a jab.

LOL how is saying a program has bad luck taking a jab at them?

HE is just flat out negative about everything. He could not help himself and his point about picking up where we left off is just stupid because Emerson will not play for us until 2018, at the earliest. He should have just kept it to how bad he felt for Emerson, but he had to make it about Tennessee too.

Why do you care? Just make your posts/contributions with your opinions and let him do the same with his.
