'18 TN DL Greg Emerson (UT commit 7/3/17)

What could?

Im still lost as to why what I posted has anything to do with anybody cheating?

Jones told Hurd one thing, and then did something else. Its not the first time that ever happened, and won't be the last. Jones however turned one problem into another by flirting with the idea he was gonna make it right later on and never carried it out.

In the end, Jones was a salesman with no product.

cheating could end the same as Butch lying, losses. Get them here however we can. UT has been screwing them up once they get here going back to Fulmer's days at least.

Pruitt could be the same as Jones, all hat no horse. we have no idea. but we fans seem to be hating on one while pushing similar things for the other.

What kind of specific information?

Exactly how he was going to fit the offense that they never committed to running once he got there.

Not that a lot of coaches don't sell kids things they never get, but Jones (and Jalen for that matter) should have cut ties earlier than they did. Jones didn't like the perception of that midstate recruiting prize walking out.

Where did I ever mention Pruitt, his recruiting tactics, cheating or why I know he's going to be different that Jones?

My thing is, is that I understand both sides. I don't go out of a car dealership thinking I got a great deal because the salesman said I did.

I am a secondary coach and from that perspective a high school senior (4+ yr football player) should have known or atleast done their homework on what kind of scheme he is commiting to. Jones in no way should of lied to him but at the same time he shouldn't have blindly trusted him either. It was a fail on both sides, and not just on one side.

Whenever Hurd yelled "Fu&@ You, You need me" to his HC on the sidelines, all his credibility was lost for me.

Jalen wasn't innocent by any stretch. He handled the situation poorly when he should have just left. He has a close family member that has told me as much. He didn't have the best of advice throughout the process and in the end, nobody won the way it played out.

To the bold, he wasn't being told they were gonna use him they way they did. He took Jones word that he was gonna be put in something different that fit his skill set. It just never happened. He would have gone somewhere else if that was what he was told. As he should have.

Jones being an unknown at the time at UT and in the region bought him some play on the recruiting trail. He seemed believable, until he wasn't.

That's kind of one of my points. Just because they tell you something doesn't mean it's true. Just ask anyone that been recruited to the military. SOMEONE should of told him to study the scheme in Cincinnati or W. Michigan and ask him if he could "see a back type like his in that offense and was he productive?"

Whoever was helping him was to blame... It's the fault of however helped him, if he couldn't see it himself. The tape never lies, let it work for you.

To a degree. I don't think they were confused on what Jones had run in the past. Thats not why he signed there.

Im a basketball coach and while I have a "philosophy" Im also smart enough to realize that can be adjusted based off what players I have and what they are capable of.

Im not arguing that. They chose to trust him because he was coaching at a university that was gonna be on the list regardless. I don't know that there was some massive paper trail of Jones doing this in the past (in regards to selling something he wasn't willing to do), anymore than normal. Him being fresh to UT and this area worked in his favor for landing Hurd.

Yea I can see that. As soon as I posted I had that thought in my mind. First year coaches usually have that to sell. He is a I can be anything (scheme wise) to fit you in the first year until the second year comes across. I can see being on both sides but I think in the end Jones saw the elite status of Jalen in recruiting and what that meant for his "brand" and Jalen saw the opportunity for fans to love him and go to UT and what all that means. In the end we all lost, especially Jalen.

Yep.

He would have been better off to leave after his SO year, or stick it out through his Jr and declare. He wasn't gonna go high but somebody would have taken him. He has hurt his name by the way it played out.

Jones is not the first coach to pull that off. The good ones are able to make it work out and not be a nuclear ending.

"It's all about eye discipline. 63. Keyboard by keyboard. I'm gonna have to teach a separate class after school for some of you individuals that think using MS Office is pretty simple. Because it's very, very complex."

I found it, but it was massive. Looked through some of the blitz calls. Didn’t get to the 7 switch stuff yet. I’ll try to later today.

There some cool stuff in it. I use some stuff for my secondary. Best advice is eat it little by little... There is a SH&+ ton of stuff in it.
