News could be coming soon, though, as linebacker Cam Jones continues to indicate he’s nearing a decision. We’ve obviously heard that before. Still, Tennessee likes where it stands here. While Missouri has given Jones plenty to think about, the fact he’s long been Tennessee’s top linebacker target means something. If Jones pops soon, it could also help things with friend and fellow Memphis native Jerome Carvin.

I am wondering if the staff views him similar to their other targets, so the deciding factor might be that he is in-state, and landing him helps land Carvin, which could possibly help land Davis.

Seen a lot of speculation on Jones regarding if he is at the top od our LB board. One thing I have not seen suggested.

Maybe, after watching film and seeing them live, our staff think Cam Jones is the best LB in the group? Our staff is certainly more qualified to judge talent than a bunch of recruiting analysts.

Probably a combo of talent and ability to get commitment has him at top. Hooefully he jumps on board and starts working the Memphis boys
