Throughout the week, we’ve received plenty of questions about how Antonutti’s commitment might impact 4-star OL Jerome Carvin. In a nutshell, it doesn’t really.

Tennessee will still hold a spot for Carvin, but the Memphis native has continued to slow his recruitment. The Vols have had steady dialogue with the Cordova lineman during the week, and Tennessee is still very much on top of his mind. Like we noted last week, Mississippi State has become a real factor, and a summer decision for Carvin no longer seems imminent.

Miss State? WTF. That's almost as bizarre as someone from Memphis seriously considering Missouri. Okay it's not nearly that bad, but still.

People give Dan Mullen way too much credit than he deserves. His recruiting is below average and hasn't really done anything after Prescott's departure to the NFL.

Mullen doesn't get enough credit IMO. You can't consistently recruit at a high level at Miss St. just like you can't at Ole Miss unless you want to put yourself in line for death penalty. Mullen is a very good coach that would do big things if givien the keys to a program with more resources and better place to recruit to. Mullen was a major reason for Urbans Florida success. He created that offense when they were at Bowling Green. Florida struggled when he left then urban fakes a heart attack until he found Tom Herman to take to ohio ST. If we did anything to Butch I'd have Mullen at top of my phone call list if I was AD

Mullen hasn't gotten the big job yet and a lot of it is because he is so hard to get along with. He is now on his fourth DC in four years. He has the rep of not liking to play in the sand box with others.

Where are you from Mr Met? Coldest game I ever played was Giles County! I was a freshman playing at Jefferson Forest and we played you guys in the state semis. It had to be sub zero and snowing with the wind blowing 30mph. I made the biggest mistake I ever made as a player and cost us an opportunity to get the ball back with time left and down 2. Don't have fond memories of Giles county lol.

I'm from Lawrence co. Nobody has fond memories of Giles co. Bo Wallace beat us 3 times
