'18 TN OT Max Wray

Was overwhelmed by UGA's practice closet, and the fact that the OC drinks Wild Turkey daily and lives out of a suitcase since he always wears out his welcome...

Why are all these Tennessee Kids going out of state? Not hitting panic mode or anything, but we are finally producing talent in state and they all seem to want to leave state.

Mom likes the Vols.

It's way too early to panic. When Dooley 2.0 (Derek) loses big things will change.

The fact that UT is seeing more and more in state D-1 talent can only help the VOLS and their program. We've been taking out of state talent for years and will continue to do so. As the program continues to gain traction, we'll continue to get plenty of in state guys. Keep perspective and remember Wray is a 2018 player and signing day 2018 is still almoat 2 years away. Plus, we already have Cade Mays and with the talent we're assembling, we'll get another offensive tackle.

Maybe not panic mode yet, but everyone should be a little worried.

Keep perspective and remember to not worry about one 2018 kid committing elsewhere because there is plenty of time for him to change his mind but take comfort in the fact that we have a different 2018 kid already committed? By that logic, aren't we just as likely to lose our 18 commit as we are to pick up someone else's?

Doubt we lose a legacy kid who already plays in Knoxville.

We will see if he's a "pickup". 2 years before he signs anything

Wray? He's already said he is done with recruiting. We will see if that holds true but said he was done, no more visits, going to start recruiting. First two to recruit, Stevens and Lawrence.

"Being that first member of the class was an important factor for Wray. The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder didn't want to be just another commit. he wants to be the leader of the class.
"I want to be the first in the class and be a leader and help recruit others to the class. I wanted to be different."
Who are the first two prospects Wray plans to recruit?
"Trevor Lawrence and Jacoby Stevens," he said.
Lawrence is the No. 1 prospect in the class of 2018 and Stevens is a good friend and training partner out of the middle Tennessee area, a 247Sports Composite five-star out of the 2017 class."-247

I bet he won't be contemplating another visit to UT when we kill UGA in Athens this year. He knows exactly what he wants to do two years in advance, much like Hunter Johnson did.

Honestly, one game rarely changes a recruits mind, almost never. It's all about relationships and playing time. Or, in case of Auburn and OM, relation$hip$

Ok. I bet he definitely won't rethink his commitment when UT skull drags UGA this year in Athens and then the next year here in Knoxvegas.

But honestly, winning isn't even that important compared to Butch and staff working on him instate for two years.

Hate to lose good in-state players. But, if we win like we should this season, this won't happen often

yep his recruitment is over and he stated he wouldn't take any other visits. him being the #1 commit and the leader of this class is what really got him to commit early. also he from Oregon. i don't believe he has any real big ties to tennessee.

Lotta bark in this thread.... from both sides

2 years to go on Max. No big deal if we get him or not, we will land a stud '18 OL class with Emil and Cade committed already. Not saying this ones over but also not crushed by it at all, UGA will get theirs out of TN just like we get ours out of GA (come to think of it, just about everyone gets theirs out of GA)
