Sir if you want us to recruit a HS backup QB I can't help you. Last I checked Peyton manning isn't playing at Brentwood academy

If he's the backup as a SR I agree. Now if he's the backup as a SO and takes over as a JR or SR I'm not automatically passing based on the fact he didn't start as a SO. Like I said, I'm not sure of the situation at BA QB depth chart wise. The kid does have 2 years to play.

It was said he is the currently backup which is his junior year

Yeah, I went back and found that post. I must have missed it. UT telling him they also like him at QB might just be a little window dressing.

“(Tennessee’s coaches) kind of responded and said, ‘we really think that you have the ability to play tight end at our level at tennessee. But, then again, after your showing at the arsenal (camp), we think that you could also play quarterback here.’ I think it’s going to be a really fun couple of years, building a relationship with all the guys over there and myself.”

My post had NOTHING to do with him being a top 10 QB. The only thing I said was that we were going after 5 QB's from Georgia & Gavin from TN made it 6 for the 2018 class.

I don't understand why you even brought it up about him being in the top 10 because my post had absolutely NOTHING to do with that! You have totally misunderstood my post & what it was intended for.

Cause he mentioned top 10 QB on his own accord and then you quoted him and highlighted top 10 for some reason. Then made a post that had nothing to do with the top 10 aspect. When you quote and highlight someone's post it's assumed your post is in regards to the highlighted portion.

He's learning...at his own pace. :)

I did highlight that part for some reason but shouldn't have. My post was strictly meant to be about the amount of Georgia QB's we have offered which is amazing to see that many from one state in one class. I still have no idea why I highlighted that last part of his post. My bad guys!

I'm excited to see what position Gavin ends up playing in college. Really good athlete for a big guy. Average arm but has great hands and runs well. Kind of reminds of Jake Coker with the way he runs at his size.

Seems you aggravate a lot of people. Maybe we'll all need to ignore or continue to get dumber! LOL! :p

I just want you to try...you get ahead of yourself and actual facts are two weeks behind you. :gone:

I was confused why you quoted what I said then. If it had nothing to do with what I said then why quote it.

Edit: saw someone helped you out

Yeah! It was mostly my fault by quoting the part in bold in which I have no idea as to why still yet. Sorry about that buddy! Thanks!

A reporter from Sports Illustrated caught up with Schoenwald a couple of weeks ago & had a short interview with him. The reporter Schoenwald if UT was still the favorite right now & Gavin responded by saying "that would be a definite yes. I grew up a UT fan all my life & my heart fell to my news when I got the news of the offer from UT. I honestly didn't expect it to come that fast. As you know I've been a QB all throughout my high school career. I did get a few snaps in at TE along with the way so it's not like I couldn't play that position. I'm all for whatever position I'm needed to play wherever I play to help the team win. I'm all about team & none about me." "I will play LB if they want even though I've never played it with a huge smile on his face." I'm pretty sure where I want to play but I'm not rushing to any decisions either because I am only going to be a junior next season. I will probably be making the full transition to TE next season but will keep my options open at QB as well."

They left it all in his quoted words guys. I said they did that & just didn't edit it. If it's his words makes you'll sound like you're making fun on Schoenwald & his Tennessee English. :)

I'd like to see how Gavin balls at out TE. I wonder if he will camp much during the off season. It seems it would good to help him with knowledge and technique of the position.

I think Schoenwald is going to make a pretty good TE even though he's only lined up at TE a few snaps. He's moving there next season to get himself ready for playing that position in college.

He's plenty athletic enough & has a pretty good size wingspan. Should be able to go get the ball over LB's & DB's all day at close to 6'6" tall & athletic.
