I don't think you are second either. I was told by a high school coach, one of DJ Taylor's coaches who just signed with Wake Forest, that the only place Alontae would flip to is Wake. Alontae and DJ are cousins and are apparently very close. The coach tried to make it sound like Tennessee should be concerned… I laughed. No way an elite prospect is going to choose wake forest over Tennessee.

The interest in Ga Tech is because they were recruiting both him and DJ (plus the chance of play QB at GT), same as with Vandy. They really want to play together and the only school that has a chance other than UT is Wake. UT recruited DJ but backed off and never offered, had DJ got the offer it would be a lock for Alonte. He Will probably end up in Knoxville but I know there's the draw of them wanting to be together.

I have confirmed James Coley was in Tennessee to see Alontae Taylor on Friday. The Vols commit now tells me Georgia is recruiting him as a receiver, which has changed from defensive back recently. Taylor said he could be in Athens this weekend and as of right now he plans to be at Georgia-South Carolina for his official.
