'18 TN QB/WR Alontae Taylor (UT commit 6/18/16)

I hear UGA is coming I strong......he was in town, saw pics. Definitely putting on smiles for the crowd and all pics....didnt look lime a dead man walking.

Doubt UGA would have room for him

I think you are right. I wish we had the scholarship room to make a run at him, but with the players still on our board and how they match up with our current needs, I don't see it happening. That's assuming he could even be flipped.

We had better get it together and make these recruits feel confident with UT...if we're moving on with coaching, lets move on and things can began to re-settle...most of us weren't expecting this kind of an uncertain season...This whole thing SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!!! :banghead2::no: :banghead2::no: :banghead2::no:

5-1 ranked #16...

Wins against North Carolina, Temple, BC, and Miami OH pad that win total. Michigan St. is their only quality win, and those 5 opponents have a combined 12-17 record. They are about to hit the meat of their schedule with 5 of their last 6 opponents coming against ranked opponents. Josh Adams is their only effective weapon. Their QB situation is a similar train wreck to our own. They actually mirror us in a lot of ways offensively. Not surprising given the Kelly-Butch connection. Let's talk about this again a month from now.

9-4, 8-5, 10-3, 4-8 isn't what ND fans hope for, and if he finishes 8-5 or worse this year, he probably is out the door.

Before this year there was some truth to this. Kelly finally hired an OC from outside of his coaching tree and has taken a hands off approach regarding the offense. We’re actually running the ball now (6th nationally). No more stupid shotgun passing plays from inside the 5 yard line (I feel your pain). My biggest gripe with Kelly has been his insistence on throwing the ball 40+ times a game and trying to “out-athlete” teams. ND never has, and never will attract the athletes and speed of teams down South. IMO, schools need to run schemes that coincide with their recruiting strengths. For ND, that’s winning at the line of scrimmage (we’ve always recruited OL well).

I would like to see UT go back to a more power team. You guys always seem to have great backs. Hopefully, you get a good one to coach here next year. Life is better here in east Tennessee when UT is good.

I've met him a couple of times and he is a really good guy. Unfortunately, though I think he is committed to Butch Jones and his scheme. This one will probably be a nail-biter until EE. Whenever Butch gets fired, I don't look for him to stay.

Who would be committed to this sh!tty scheme?
