Well you need to just turn Blackman into a feeder program and get some of tha alum money going to support there program..... Lets see,,, Jennings, Teague, Knox , Otey ... Next 3 years have 3 big recruits you are hittig hard.... Just saying....

Serious question here:

I get why so many say "we need to lock down the state this year" but I really wonder if that's realistic. Seems to me, no school routinely "locks down" their state (except Louisiana which seems strange in and of itself).

Don't get me wrong, I'd love it if Butch and Co pulled 7 or 8 of the top 10 kids from the home state just wondering how often a school does that. Doesn't seem like a high probability of happening just given the competition for these top kids.

That being said, Teague appears to be an in state "must get".

You will find that simple reason and pragmatism is not tolerated here. It is called making excuses. We will lock down the state, get every player we want, plus cherry pick from GA FL Ohio, Penn, NC, SC, MS, and LA. Because they will be unable to lock down their states even as we lock down ours.

Once we lock down the state, we will lock down the southeast and eventually the entire nation. It's easy with the right staff.

We need to hit ALL of middle TN hard, but my comments were just me messing with Volatil, nothing serious.

not sure if serious. the coaches are finally taking their time on accepting commits that pissed the fans off in the past and now suddenly we are terrible because we aren't taking every 3 star that walks past.

we still have the highest rated recruit in the SEC, number 12, the next highest is 35. we have two commits a 4 star and a 5. hardly call for worry. instate recruiting this year actually looks to be in our favor. At least as far as we don't have a Stevens and some others who never really give us the time of day.

calm down, enjoy the ride. Bama is number 10 right now, think that stays? Kansas is 9, recruiting is fluid. it will be ok.

yeah. i am not rolling out the red/orange carpet for anyone at this point but I just hate the constant negativity.

yeah we weren't great last year. move on.

Ha not my boy.

Kid at Blackman is incredible. He was at an MTSU camp with Jr. Stockstill got out there after warm ups and made every kid kick from 55 off the ground while Stockstill held for them. Jr looked awful. Kid from Blackman (Thomas Burks) was the only one to hit from that distance. He was a Sophomore at the time. Wilhoit loves that kid so I'm sure he will be pushing him to the big schools.

Burks has hit at least one game winner for the last two seasons... he is money. Of course the kicker at Siegel is/was a stud. That kid should have had offers out the wazoo... its always when you re down by 2 in the 4th with 4th and long inside the 30 that you realize you should have gone after a kicker...
