'18 TN RB Master Teague

No my kid went to Riverdale after playing at Blackman for two years.

Gotcha... He was a solid as well.... I wish you guys well... I have one that will be a senior who decided he is pursuiting the Military career..and one that will be a freshman who can't wait to play ball....

All the reports (and Volatil) make it sound like sc is definitely in the picture but I'd like to see one from someone that isn't from Big Spur before putting much credence in the CB picture right now.

CB for this kid is a guess right now.

And I still really like our chances right now

No, not late to the show at all. Tennessee offered Teague in June and has liked him for a while, but the Vols probably weren't quite sure Teague was one of their very top RB targets at first. South Carolina has made him a high priority all along. Tennessee has stayed in regular contact with Teague, but the Vols just might not have made him quite as high of a priority as the Gamecocks have until recently

Great another kid that must not like us considering he is not coming to Jr day and going to clemson

He's blowing up in recruiting right now. He's taking several trips and looks.

We are very much in this.

Not going to be a slam dunk by any means. This kid will have an offer by every school that's worth a damn soon. Butch and company will have to step up their game. Full court press.

Key: Dandre Litaker and Teague have known each other for years. They played peewee football together. Really feel strong about Litaker in orange. Need Litaker to pull the trigger on Jr Day.

IIRC a lot of us thought Chandler was an Ole Miss lean around this time last year. No need to start getting worried about missing out on Teague yet.

Plus our staff is fully in place now and should be much, much stronger on the recruiting trail than the previous incarnations.

True on all accounts

I swear, the gnashing of teeth starts earlier every year. One month today removed from NSD and people are already fretting over a kid visiting another school.

No. Just because he is visiting another school on the same day as our Junior Day (in March for crying out loud), does not mean he hates Tennessee and we have no chance.

I've said it at least a hundred times before (and will probably say it again I'm sure), if you can't get any further than this into the recruiting cycle without already having lost it over what these kids do, then following recruiting is probably not for you. Find a hobby to keep you busy until football season actually starts.

But we only have 2 commits and one said he is "open!"

Lol...oh yeah. I forgot about that.

VN....where if you have too many commits too soon, we're screwed. If you don't have enough commits soon enough, we're screwed.

I'm waiting on someone to tell us the magic number of commits we're suppose to have on March 1st.

I'm all for high quality players we have two but the right two....there offer list suggest so and multiple sites agree they are Elite players...I know it's sarcasm newt but I am glad we are slowing the commit train. This staff can't afford turn down anymore high quality players because we filled up early with less talented players

Whatever number get half the people complaining it's too soon and the other half complaining it's not soon enough. Can't have too many on one side or the other. It's all about balance. :)
