I understand your point... I just think it would be a bit different with JJ at the POA...
No no no... that's not what I meant... I meant have him leading blocking on a sweep with Byrd running it..:Do you think JJ has the quickness for sweeps?
I agree with having him in space but I think I would rather get it to him on a quick bubble screen. He showed some quick footwork and nice moves a few times last year and with how tough he is I feel like even if the defense is set up to cover it he can at least attack his way for positive yards.
Second part.... introducing.... John Kelly....
First part... you have to have set up plays. Having a sweep play creates a lot of opportunities... what a lot of people do not realize is that, that touchdown he just threw was achieved by that sweep holding the safety because (he was the force defender) he had to honor the sweep that had been run a couple times out of that formation and....
Now that the safety is out of position horizontally because he couldn't be outflanked by the sweep player... aaaaannnnndddd touchdown...

I just remember how long they took to develop and they were sooooo telegraphed.
Yeah, but once we got a QB who could run under center they became a lot harder to defend as well.
With Worley the defenses knew they only had to worry about the RB or the guy on the Jet Sweep keeping the ball to run. With Dobbs, it opened up more possibilities.
I agree he went to the well too much with it, but it was no worse than Debord's handoff, handoff, swing-pass, punt drive planning at times in 2015.
Although I think jake ran it too much and with the wrong personnel at times, the jet sweep is a somewhat important part of our offense to keep the defense honest. Makes them have to take that extra second to think.Yeah, but once we got a QB who could run under center they became a lot harder to defend as well.
