Blackman Football, Kit Hartsfield and Juice Davis

We've got to keep this kid in-state & get his commitment as early as we can. That's really fast 40 yd dash times.

I wouldn't be surprised at a 4.48/4.49. Dude absolutely blows by the secondary on a lot of his runs.

Think this kid is a legit sub 4.4 guy?


It's hard to tell sometimes with the way different camps and trainers stretch kids' numbers. I still remember Hurd's 4.37 lol

Sub 4.4 is elite. I'd say he's 4.4 range. He allegedly ran 4.3 at UT camp last summer.

I'm with all of y'all that has to second guess Hand times. The kid is lightening fast though.

40 yds / 4.5 secs = 8.88 yds/sec

40 yds / 4.3 secs = 9.30 yds/sec

9.30 - 8.88 = .42 yds/sec faster

It doesn't matter if he runs 4.5 or 4.3 or somewhere in between. That is smoking fast and I would love to get an early commit from this kid to go along with our current '18 InState commits. Would be a great recruiting boost!

I agree we need him on board regardless


But if he legit has 4.3 speed, that's a pretty freakin huge difference from a 4.5.

4.3 speed is fast enough to blow by those 4.4-4.5 guys no problem, even sometimes if they're taking perfect angles in pursuit.

Oh yeah. I mean 4.5 speed is fast but if he has legit 4.3 speed that is beyond fast. Especially at 210 lbs!

They have been actively recruiting Teague for several months and still are a strong contender for him. But he's high on South Carolina, too, and definitely seems to be a priority for the Gamecocks right now. We'll have a better feel for how high of a priority he is for Tennessee within the next few months.

Since everyone is disputing his 40 time, I'll jump in with my thought:

From watching his film, I believe the real 40 time is 4.42987654321. Haven't timed the guy in person but the naked eye just picked this time from his film. I also have his weight as 2.03987654321. :rolleyes:
